In an age where there are no secrets in Scottish Football, I wonder why Craig Thompson pulled out of refereeing the wee match on Sunday. Was re afraid of the consequences of having to give a decision against the 1872 team in their last game aagainst Celtic. Was he afraid that if he gave Celtic a free, that he could be blamed by Ally afterwards of trying to Kill the Rangers. Or is he afraid that Sandy Jardine (surely the worse full- back ever to be picked by Scotland ) would lead a march of Rangers supporters to his house, in memory of him awarding Celtic a throw-in near the end. Surely if Rangers fans are given the names wtc of the tribunal panel, the rest of us should know why Craig Thompson opted out of this match.
Is Craig Thompson related to a church, and if he was surely he knew before this week and would have previously notified the SPL of his unavailability for Sunday.
Yep, Rangers fans are infamous for attacking referees at Parkhead on Old Firm day, in fact, wait a minute...
Monacoger, huns rarely can find any reason to fault a Scottish Referee as over the season all SPL referees have made at least 4 unfortunate mistakes for the huns. 2008 was a great reminder to referees what can happen if Rangers fans feel they are been short changed. Remember a television set in Manchester temporary broke down and Monacoger the rest is history. A judge said the worse dame in Manchester since the blitz. 4 years the referees in Scotland have been living terrified of what might happen.
Thought kyle bartley should have walked today but other than that can't see any other major decisions he got wrong. Did give them freekicks and corners for nothing but such is life.
Some Hun **** (little?) was down with a sore shoulder and Sammy broke up the field only for the ref to pull it back. Loovens was down with a head injury and the Huns were allowed to break upfield. It irritated me at the time and I thought that I can't complain about it as we are horsing them and we are only supposed to moan when we lose. I genuinely thought that was poor officiating.
I finally got off my arse and backed a red card to happen after thinking about it but not doing it in the last few old firm games
Might have picked the wrong derby can see a red card in the manchester one tomorrow, especially if that liability balotelli is playing.
I wish the SPL had told the general public and not just the referee that they were changing the rules since the last time Murray refereed them v us. Certainly there was any continuity of his interpretation of what is a red card. Not too many referees would not have given Bartley a red card, especially not one as eager as he had been.
