I think it made sense considering what we were up against today. The question going through Nigel's head would have been "if we are drawing 0-0 at 70 minutes, what am I going to change?" That's why I reckon he left Cork on the bench and took a spare winger. If we lost a centre back then Deano, Fox, Cork could probably all fill in. Martin is clearly well liked by the staff, smart money is on him finding a loan slot in the Championship next year I reckon.
Never doubted for a moment. Never thought that Coventry would park the bus and score on the break. Never thought we'd let a 2 goal lead go. Not for 1 minute
Perhaps Adkins knows that now we are in the big time we are going to want a big name manager like Sam Allardyce, who apparently we will have to fight Real Madrid off to win his services!!!
Yeah,I didn't like the fact that Nigel talked about his future, but wasn't he mainly referring to the players that will eventually leave??
if that's the 18 year old with the "hair do" in midfield, I thought he was excellent. Reminded me of The Newcastle CM
Yes, Bigirimana looks an excellent player. The game reinforced my opinion of him. I've also mentioned Crewe's Nick Powell before and he scored again today. Those are two players I would love to see in the red and white.
Didn't go to the game today as I had to work until 1 but watched the second half on TV. Did anyone else notice the commentator saying how if the team starts doing well (i.e winning and being promoted) the fans will all come to watch. Now is it just me or when we were in league 1 did we have larger attendances than a lot of premier league games let alone most if not all of the championship games. Sorry for the rant I was just a bit annoyed at how the commentator was displaying our fans. However WHAT A SEASON!! Match of the day here we come! COYR!!
Adkins will leave, it is undeniable. It will presumably be when he is plucked out of obscurity by Liverpool, who will herald it as a great find, a great discovery.
