"No but as manager of the greatest team on earth you probably get a feel for when things are going to start going down hill."

Downhill? Barca still have just about the best playing squad on the planet and they have every chance of winning everything again next season.

"Its easy when everythings going right."

Not for him it isn't. He's been talking about how stressing and difficult the job is for a long time, even when Barca were winning all sorts of trophies and everything was going for them.

"Much harder when you are up against it. For once he is and hes going."

2009-10 they were dumped out of the UCL in the semi-finals just like now, and had to fight for the title until the last day. That was a challenge in my book and he accepted it with aplomb.

"Sure he might of planned it and sure he may not like sticking around for long ( he wont leave Barcelona for a year ) but what sort of manager keeps hinting that hes going to quit sometime? "

An honest manager who doesn't want to lie to people?

"told the chairman in december he was off. Way to install confidence in your players eh Pep."

Told the chairman, not the players.

Football manager cant hack football management at the best club on earth.

Sums up exactly whats happened here. Make all the excuses you want, if he thinks this job was hard then what the **** is he going to do in his next job where he will be under so much pressure he will have no option but to kill himself.

He doesnt even know what ****ing pressure is.

    He should go to liverpool.

If he can get those losers challenging for top 4 that would be an achievement. So far he's not proved anything other than if you give him a team with half the worlds best players in he can win some trophies in the short term.

Yeh because most of us need a break after 4 years in a piss easy job where you do **** all. No tactics, no game plan, no plan B, nothing.

How difficult it must of been, I mean other managers have done much tougher jobs and taken time out to look after sick loved ones or to grieve and thats fair enough, work took its toll and personal life comes first. Pep spent 4 years twiddling his thumbs while his players won trophy after trophy.

Managers like David Moyes deserve a break. 10 years managing the same club on a shoestring.

Needing a break after a few years managing Barca? pull the other one.
