guys lets keep it in perspective - yes the team deserve a bollocking tonight after throwing away that lead but defensively weve been good MOST of the season and we have comfortably avioded relegation our main objective and whatsmore IN STYLE. Today was rubbish (strange to say that after scoring 4!) but we are now officially SAFE!! lets enjoy that and learn from today.

Shocked by the response on here tonight.

How many of you were saying we needed a plan b? Buck is trying new things and then gets shot down for it. I think a few people need to make their minds up!

This wasn't a plan B. Monk isn't part of any future plan A, B, C ...... Jazz, Obeng, Situ et al are part of our future. You want to experiment then experiment with those with potential.

We wasted a match, position money, time, fan good will for what. To see what we already know .... Our history is not part of our future.

This is on the money, well said Yankee, hope the MOTD team tear into our schoolboy defending from Rodgers, how the hell he could go with 3 at the back that includes Monk, is beyond me!

Still, can't blame rodgers for trying something different. We still have a lot to learn and we won't do that playing the same every week.

I'm all for trying something different, but why not try it with our future. Also not sure what MacEachran is doing on the bench unless he is required by the loan to be there. Would rather see Jazz there.

See your point Yankee, maybe Buck wanted to experiment while playing the guys he thought would also get the win

2 bottles of red and ive chilled a bit but still not best pleased.I'm all for trying new permutations but today proved a few things that have already been mentioned.and if you experiment for the future surely you do it with the future.but giving away the lead we had was not on.but that aside overall as far as the season goes im pretty well chuffed..semi rant over.. I'm off for a curry

Eh? We don't have a plan b, hence an experiment. What would you rather, be losing 2-0 then attempt a plan b?

    Really?

We experimented today and conceded 4 to wolves. Say were losing 2-0 to united, we swap to what we played today, we would surely concede more than 4. This was the game to experiment in.

Very strange game today - wish I was a neutral because then I would really have enjoyed that! Very 'flat' walking back from the Liberty - but then had my very own 'Damascus' moment - we are now mathematically safe and can enjoy our last two games with no pressure on us - would have been nice to climb the table and bank the money that it would have brought us but it wasn't to be.

But let's get some perspective - how many of us would have taken this at the beginning of the season? I would have sold my testicles to go into the last two games with PL survival assured! It says a lot about how well we have done that we are all so disappointed at todays result; remember that we were widely tipped to equal Derby's dismal points low at the beginning of the season! But we have defied all the doom mongers and looked comfortable in the top flight. Buck tried a plan B today and it didn't come off - but we were in a position to experiment and that is something I couldn't have dreamt of at the beginning of the season!

Can understand a lot of the disappointment on here tonight, but cannot understand most of the negativity - we will be playing PL football again next season - us - little Swansea! The no hopers who were universally tipped for relegation before a ball was kicked! We have made the doubters eat their words, and done it in a style that many have lauded as the future of British football!

So was I disappointed today? Yes! Did it do anything to dent my belief in the way we play and the footballing philosophy of SCFC? A massive no! We should all be so proud of every member of our squad, our management team and board! If the Swansea journey of the last ten years was made into a Hollywood film – people would claim that it was too far fetched; how could a team on the brink of relegation from the top divisions attain PL survival within a decade, and do it in a style that has drawn comparisons with the giants of Barcelona? We have done it – and we have done it in style – and I have enjoyed every second of it! Would have happily paid double the face value of my season ticket to watch another season in the PL!

So cut Buck a little slack for todays ‘experiment’! Maybe plan B didn’t work today – but credit to him for trying something different that may give us alternative options next season! I believe in Buck – I believe in SCFC – and I believe in everything the club is doing to prolong our adventure in the top flight!

The future is bright – the future is Swansea! <cheers>
