5 this weekend, one involving us, other four our drowning buddies. Easy part; we want to win, and the others to lose. But will we, and will they? My take Chelsea v QPR 1-2 Sunderland v Bolton 2-2 Wigan v Newcastle 2-1 WBA v Aston Villa 1-1 Spurs v Blackburn 1-1 It's a mugs game predicting results at this stage of proceedings, but if I'm right, which I rarely am, I would be over the moon, especially about the first one. Anyone else see it my way?
Here's mine for what its worth Twins: Chelsea 2-0 QPR Sunderland 1-0 Bolton Wigan 1-3 Newcastle West Brom 2-0 Aston Villa Spurs 3-2 Blackburn Realized after I punched in the last one I have all 5 of us losing. Oddly enough it wouldn't be a bad turnout as a win against Stoke might see us alright.
Yes, Swords, if we could all agree to lose the rest of our games we'd be on the pig's back. Any result is possible though, and I expect yours are closer to the mark than mine.
I wonder what odds I'd get on all five losing? I'd say its fairly unlikely. At this time of the season its practically impossible to call. There's an infinite number of variables and as my position in the Prediction League suggests, I ain't all that good at foretelling the future!
With so many teams fighting for their lives, there will be a surprise or two this weekend as well. Let's hope we are the one causing the surprise. To even get a point at SB is a big ask. Our away record is terrible and they are still a top 4 club. We need a huge performance, lets hope MH can get them up for it.
chelsea 1v qpr 2 , wigan 0 v newcastle 2 , sunderland 1v bolton 0 , wba 3 v villa 1 , spurs 3v blackburn 0 . fingers crossed .
Chelsea v QPR 1-1 Sunderland v Bolton 1-2 Wigan v Newcastle 1-3 WBA v Aston Villa 2-0 Spurs v Blackburn 3-1 That's my prediction which would be pretty good for us. Although, as we all seem to agree, it's impossible to predict anything at this stage!!
Chelsea v QPR 4-1 Sunderland v Bolton 1-1 Wigan v Newcastle 1-2 WBA v Aston Villa 2-0 Spurs v Blackburn 1-2
Can't understand everyone seems to be thinking Bolton are suddenly going to start beating every team they play, they only won on Monday because Villa were total pants and I think Sunderland will see them off easily...
Bolton have a lot of injuries as well. But Sunderland are on holiday, can't see Bentdner causing their CB's that many problems to be honest.
Sunderland are already on their sun loungers and Larson is out for the rest of the season!! Bolton will win there!!
There's also the added incentive of wanting to keep hold of Sessegnon, Mcclean etc for next season. Don't be surprised if their form suddenly takes a turn for the worst.
Bolton are a team getting some luck lately and may win. Richard Dunne is available again after injury and I think his return will give Villa a shot in the arm; I believe they will start to pick up some points now.
It gives me no pleasure to have correctly guessed today's results, unfortunate as they were. Newcastle's run had to end eventually, Bolton, let's face it, are a lucky team, and Villa, with Richard Dunne back will get a couple more points. On the bright side, if I get my other two guesses right we will be back to 16th AND a precious 3 pts of clear blue between us and Bolton. All's to play for, and all's not lost.
If my placing in Cicero's prediction comp is anything to go by, slim chance! But I do feel confident of us in the game tomorrow in all seriousness.
