that has put me in a bad mood, why wasn't rangel even on the bench? was he injured. tbh our goals caught Wolves cold and were a bit lucky too. once wolves got their bearings there was only one team in it and they deserved the win. worst team selection by BR of the season, or was it Brendan and Huws ploy to dampen any interest in BR moving on.

DREADFUL!! We played like the flat track bullies I have accused us of being before. Let us play and we look great; stand up to us and we disintegrate... no other word for it.

Wolves, RELEGATED Wolves, played us off the park in the second half beating us at our own game. Terrible tactical gamble by Buck but he was not helped by some absolutely spineless and useless performances from our players in the second period. I hope he has the grace to admit that Wolves deserved their point, and more, in his post match interview.

Second season syndrome? You'd better believe it!!!! I fear for us after watching that and I think we'll be waving bye bye to Siggy who will feel that he can find far better options than us - along with a number of other "targets" who I'm sure will have had a change of mind. As for fitness, I will say it again, WE ARE A LONG WAY SHORT OF THE STANDARD REQUIRED AT THIS LEVEL. And, please, Buck, no more Garry Monk in our team... ever. Ability wins matches, not loyal servants.

Going out now in a black mood and will read with interest other comments when I get back. Final point, note how Fergie had a huge grin on his face as he spoke to an equally happy Phelan. I fear for us next week, I really, really do.

Monk was very poor today, and so was Ash some poor positioning.

Don't think Fergie learned anything today with the formation change. Perhaps Brendan did this so he didn't divulge too much regarding next weeks game.:emoticon-0105-wink:

Should have won this game being 3-0 up and cruising. When they got one back I thought OK nothing to worry about, then were 4-2 up and Ash should really have cleared the ball then you begin to worry. To me it was only a matter of time before Wolves got more goals.

What must Terry Connor be thinking why they couldn't put this type of in your face display earlier in the season. They might have stood a fighting chance of staying up.

Anyway off to Old Trafford next where I do think we will get a point if not all three. Ever the optimist.

    Come on U Swans!!!!!

On another forum, someone described this as a one off. How quickly some have forgotten QPR. This was worse, much worse. What really pisses me off is that next week we will no doubt see a better performance from many of our players as they flaunt themselves in the shop window.

Rogers got it all wrong tactically, and coupled to some of the worst player performances of the season it adds up to an embarrassing display.

Perhaps we have been spoiled by some of the performances this season, and I'm chuffed that we are staying up....but today just leaves a bitter taste and does not bode well for next season.

Ivor: Ditto. Credit to Wolves for really outplaying us second half. Monk is definitely drowning at this level. Williams is simply not as good as we think he is. Appalling since Feb and if he'd played like that since the start of the season we'd be down by now. Fortunately for him and us he's played really well for the first half of the season.

Not sure why we had this 'experiment' at the back but frankly it was a ****ing disaster.

At the end our players looked dead on their feet. Sir Alex must be licking his lips thinking about the goal difference next week. <doh>

I never thought a game where we score 4 ( welcome back doris )and leading a large part of the way would be such a pain in the arse ! and it made my tourettes play up a bit to !!

Either Rogers trying to lul fergie into a false sense of security or he nearly just made a big cock up against the very bottom relegated team the players didnt do us to proud in the second half either.

But looking at the season over all i think we can let this one slide ? w****** oops. <grr><laugh>

Does this point make us mathematicaly safe ??

Agreed! I would not be surprised if we get a result next week. But the players need a rocket after today!

What a joke game...please never play 3-4-3 again. we may score a few but we will concede loads against the better sides......wolves should have won it in the end......never mind we are safe now and thats the main objective....

i agree ivor, we are not at the standard required for next season so i hope jenkins gets his checkbook out early. we need at least Two tall defenders, one midfield and Two strikers if we are to compete next season. The way wolves with nothing to play for took us apart was embarrassing, It was a joke game that with all the misses could have been 10-10. ......

i think what really pisses me off is nothing learnt from the first game with Wolves. we should be on 48 pts tonight, we were 2 up with 10 mins to play but couldn;t hold on. history repeats itself but worse, this time we let a 3 goal cushion slip. thats 4 pts overall and goodness knows how many places and millions that could be worth.
we need to do some decent business this summer and get a bit of bottle in the team, as next season could be a real struggle

The only think I can think of is that there is a faction within the club that think Captain Marvel still has something to offer and this was BR's way of demonstrating that he needs to resign Caulker or get a replacement and also sign somebody as cover. Cause if he really wanted to try the 3-4-3 experiment wouldn't he have played Taylor - Ash - Caulker. Forget that - you can't play 3-4-3 without wing backs - and we don't have any so I have no idea WTF was going on today.

Have to say that Orlandi looked whatever part he was supposed to be playing. Scored a goal and made one. He actually made Wolves' defenders look very ordinary when he drifted past them for Dyers goal - something Sinclair should have done all game but didn't. Why is it that Orlandi can spend most of the season injured and just getting back from injury then play and look more threatening than Sinclair.

Orlandi was the only player to come out of the game with any credit today. Can only assume Rangel was injured. If not, the team selection beggars belief.

will we keep vorm though. there was plenty of fans thinking we will lose vorm and little joe before the season starts......Buck has a hell of a lot of work to do in the summer to get us ready.(and we dont know for absolute certain that he will even be with us next season).....I hate all this uncertainty surrounding the club at the moment and will feel much better when the season is over and we know where we stand.....

On today's performance that'll be bottom half instead of 9th or 10th. Blew it today.

Playing three at the back with Monk in there, is like playing 2 at the back, but this was one very naive game plan by Rodgers, and there's Wigan keeping a clean sheet against an inform Newcastle, and scoring 4!.............. <ok>

On another thread we were debating who we might lose during the close season. On today's showing I don't think we need to worry too much about that. Anybody with a remote chance of going anywhere did themselves no good today.

Lets not forget where we have come from guys.

I am very dissappointed about today, but much better having a next season whinge about our team next year in the Prem, than it was about our chances of survival in the league (not so many years back)
