I remember the evening before that wonderfull day last season and the trepidation I felt. Would we do it? Could we reach the Promised Land? Oh and the journey up to London and the merry banners with their good luck messages from our nearest mates? Can they get over the last hurdle into the play offs and then win the play off Final or will they CHOKE AGAIN???? Thoughts Please:laugh:

Now now, don't get them all upset. I quite admire their yearly battle against promotion.

Both apply Vetch, I was just taking pity on the poor fcukers. You have to take pity on a team who pride themselves of losing Wembley finals and are just a bus stop on the way to Swansea.

"Who pride themselves losing Wembley finals".

It's almost as though they have made an art form of it.

Having said that, now that the spectre of Dave Jones has gone,I think they may well spring a surprise this time around.

So they may not lose 3-0 at home then?

I think you got a better chance this year even without your 'stars', but it is a very tough play-off group indeed! All three relegated teams from last season! All the best.

    "I might get banned".

Now, that's either an attempt at subtle humour ,or a sarcastic dig because someone you clearly admire was banned for his continuous outrageous behaviour.

I'm not sure which it is.

I give up. Good luck. I am off your board. Tired of snide remarks with absolutely no basis. You can continue to "clearly admire" yourself Vetch...pathetic.

And it is not about Aber. It just trying to keep reality about a forum and banning people.

Just thought I would remind you of something:

Siam, I'd like to point out that I have never had a cross word with Aber (as I said in that thread) and don't have a problem with him. I'm sure he would confirm that himself.
Perhaps he should calm down a little bit at times and not take the bait. I'm sure if he'd been talking to me on this thread none of this would have happened.

What's with the vitriol siam? Only recently you described aber as "a pretty big guy". or perhaps I dreamt that. <doh>

I can understand why aber has fans, with his 'hey dude'-speak and overtly "I-don't-give-a-****" attitude, but two things got him into hot water - again. Firstly, he rarely mentions football and has long conversations (sometimes with himself) over how terrible the Tories are and how he can't wait for Thatcher to die. His irrational hatred for anything English is another recurring theme. This isn't the place for that nonsense.

Secondly, his posts almost always mention football violence and it's so obvious he's proud of his violent past, recently saying outright that he was a "violent man" - in the present tense. That, coupled with threats to our posters put paid to him. It's all very well saying you liked the guy but your view may have changed if you'd been the one threatened.

    Good riddance.

Siam - remember, people such as aber and the Moron Hughs don't get banned for nothing. I know the mods don't do it lightly. When the Moron was banned there were posts on your board saying it "was for nothing" and that just isn't true.
