An announcement from Rotherham on BBC sport is that a League 2 club about to get promoted is one of three clubs who have made a bid for Lewis Grabban. Another site says it is us who have made the bid and the asking price is £300k. I rate Grabban - he is a good footballer and scores goals and it would be great to see him replace Ainsworth.
From Wikepeadia If Crawley bid for him, then Steve Evans would have done that. Would he let him go now?
Swindon seem more likely. Can't see us paying that much. How good is he (genuine question)? I know he's having a really good season and goals aren't everything, even for a striker, but wasn't 7 his previous best? Fine if he was 20, but he's mid-20s.
If it is us who have made the bid could it be that means Collins is on his way out of the club as he has been linked to Watford, Preston and Swindon recently.
According to twitter it is Swindon who have submitted a written bid for Lewis Grabban. I for one hope GT is pulling out all of the stops to keep hold of James Collins.
I agree about Collins - he is not yet the finished article but he is going to get better. I hope he appreciates the stable club and superb manager he has at the moment even if the likes of Swindon can offer him more money. If however a Championship club like Watford come in for him I think he will go.
