Grant Leadbitter is free to move to another club during the summer as his contract has ended with Ipswich and he wishes to leave them.
What's the thoughts of this type of midfield player at Leeds United?
    He's 26, former England U21 and cost Ipswich £2.6m in 2009.

I would have him straight away, solid player, good freekick taker, and the type of player we need at lufc only 26 as well and seems to have been around for a while now.

Seems the Ipswich fans (on not606) don't rate him and are glad he's going.

FFS boab, are you just going to go through every player whose contract is running out between now and August?

Just the ones that we may end up with or could offer terms to.

One thing we are missing is a good free kick taker. Seen Snodds score a few, but nothing like Harte used to

The Ipswich fans would love him to stay, his record speaks for itself, they offered him a new contract which he turned down, he will end up at boro though.

If the rules changed and you could bring on someone just for free kicks and corners, then I would bring back Harte, he's ****e at everything else and was never ever a decent player.

Just seems like a worse Sammy Clingan to me. Now him I'd have.

<laugh> strachallister have you ever seen Leadbitter take a free kick <laugh>

What record is this that speaks for itself?!

He's completely useless. Paul Jewell offered him a contract on lower wages but we would all like to see the back of clueless Jewell as well.

I understand he was offered a third of his current weekly wage, to stay at Ipswich. Speaks for itself really.

Yes seen him take a free-kick, 113 appearances and 13 goals, who cares when he can hit em like this !! and i take it you work with paul jewell as you seem to know the wage structure, you would love to keep him but I guess with Ipswich struggling next season he has seen the light, and it wont matter one jot as he is off to boro.

    <laugh><laugh><laugh>

That was over three years ago at Sunderland!

Given that he was our main free kick taker for two years if you can find me footage of him scoring a free kick for Town ill give you a medal!

...It's actually true and if it is not already out in the media, it will be. He was offered a third of his current contract and he turned it down.

Edit: Just been informed Lee Bowyer has also been told his contract will not be extended and he is free to leave Ipswich, doubt many clubs will be after him.
