    Join the frigging club.

I remember really fancying him for Cheltenham last year before I understood NH racing because he impressed me so much when I saw him win a race in Ireland, but instead I was 'looking for the value'. The horse was 6/1 in the weel leading up to Chelts and I managed to "look for value" elsewhere like a muppet.

When did I back him? Had all of my Sprinter Sacre winnings on him, like a mug.

Can I just say- he did not look impressive again there did he. He looked to be struggling again a little bit when Thousand Stars upped the pace.

But beat Thousand Stars by 8 1/2 lengths- further than he beat him when he won his champion hurdle.

RV defo mate- I just meant he didnt look imperious. I love the horse though, he's a phenomenal hurdler.

It is heavy ground - not many have looked imperious in that ground this week. Look at Sizing Europe he had to pull out everything. That performance today is going to be underated due to the fact Zaidpour got within 3 lengths. That horse is a genuine top notcher on this sort of ground and Thousand Stars has proved several times how good he is.

Mind you - Ruby agrees with those saying Hurricane wasn't impressive today.

Half-way down the back I was kind of thinking to myself, 'I wouldn't mind being on Zaidpour' but in fairness to him (Hurricane Fly), pure raw ability and guts has won it for him.

"I wouldn't say he's anywhere near the horse that won in Leopardstown (Irish Champion Hurdle), he was more like the horse than ran in Cheltenham, to be honest with you.

"He was lethargic in Cheltenham, he was lethargic again today but pure ability has won him the day.

"When horses run as flat as he ran today, they don't win unless they're exceptional and he did.
