Exactly, it's ridiculous testing it on one game. Why not bring it straight in for a whole season of the Ryman Premier Division (or some league similar)? They have nothing to loose. It almost feels like the the governing bodies of football have come in to so much criticism that they are refusing to act out of sheer stubbornness. Maybe everyone should keep quiet about it and they'll suddenly turn round and say 'hey guys we've just come up with this great idea...'
The article didnt state, but are they only using it for dis/allowed goals or is it trialing for other decisions such as ball crossing dead bal line etc. i know they were talking about using it for all kinds of stuff from off-side to penalties, nut I'm guessing this is just "baby steps"?
