Been reading on various media formats that Hargreaves will not be getting a new contract at Man City, so he's available for a free transfer. He's 31 and has been plagued with injuries for a few years, however he may wish to drop down a league and may be willing to take a major drop in wages to play for a club like Leeds. What's everyone's thoughts on such a player?
If only, can see us taking a punt on Michael Johnson though. Scout was at The MK Dons game last Saturday, wonder when the rumour mills will be going around regarding Alan Smith again
You don't need him. Fat lazy and can't do much else than pass it sideways. You're better off with Clayton and Brown.
Have to say I haven't heard good things about the lad either. Living on a short past me thinks, nothing like the player he was/should have been.
I think Brown will be more of a replacement or fill in for injuries / suspensions... Robinsons going back to Bolton after Saturdays game, thoughts?
Robinson started really well with us, then it appeared to go wrong for him. He's too slow and other teams will exploit this if we keep him.
Owen Hargreaves would be a great player to sign on a sensible 6 month contract, this would let him prove his fitness to earn himself a big money deal in January back to the Premiership / USA. I know some people think we should be signing him for longer, but this way we would get a world class player for 6 months to help us start the Promotion push, without any long term risk.
Reports out of city is that a lot of the injuries are mental,he won't attempt to play through the niggles most players have.Sadly I think Hargreaves isn't worth the punt
Hargreaves for me would be perfect. There would obviously be some risk with it considering his injury record but other than that would be fantastic, think its worth the risk tbh
