You'd like to think that, but really you have just pretty much proved by your own self that you're a glory hunter with the replies you were giving. How many times did you mention the success and history argument? Let's take a look That says it all and you have pretty much outed yourself as being there only because of the club's successful history. You are just another statistical figure for the amount of fans the club has brought in due to its prestige in order to strengthen their financial power. Your aggressive and disdainful reaction only further fuels my point. All the glory hunting United and Liverpool fans who I know in London act and react in the exact same way. And the funniest thing of all is that you are completely oblivious to it. Hard work? Don't make me laugh. Go read up on Henry Norris who bought your passage in to the league, before you had won anything and is one of the major factors behind all of your success today. At least what we done, was within the rule books. And yes your team has not won anything for seven years, but as we saw from you that didn't stop you from bringing up all your success in the past which you latch on to and raise like a shield. You are becoming like Liverpool fans, only ever capable of bringing up your past success in order to win an argument, despite however irrelevant it may be to the discussion. Running my mouth off to the Arsenal board? A bitter gooner made a topic on here about us, completely unrelated to his own club, just to launch a spiteful attack on us and I simply came to defend our approach with logic and reasoning. And now that I completely destroyed him, he has no defence and no reply so prefers to hide behind others like yourself who resort to spineless offensive remarks. Just a cup team? This time last year, we were still the league champions and the only ones challenging United for the title. It hasn't even been a year since we were still the holders of the title. And it's better to be a cup team, than a nothing team.
Wow - there is "history" and there is " along long time ago". I suggest anything that happened in the early 1900s is a long long time ago. Lets take OUR lifetimes as "history" shall we and ignore what happened in our grandad's times . Apparently people used to ride horses ... back in the day ...... Bitter Gooner ? Nah John, just telling it like it is. And when you lose to Bayern all you will be remembered for is parking the airplane at Stamford Bridge AND the Nou Camp
So what? Do you not count the trophies you won in the 30s because they were a long time ago? That would discredit a significant amount of Arsenal's history which that guy is all to eager to blather on about. And you're not telling it like it is. You're giving your own opinion and I responded to it with mine. By the way, what is your prediction for the final score in the Champions League final?
See the arrogance is in the last paragraph, just because your precious Arsenal have never won it, nobody else can. At least we have the opportunity to win it
No but you see with hothead, only his opinions are correct. He covers up being wrong by saying 'if you get in an argument with me, you will lose'
In my lifetime we have won 5 of our 13 (or is it 14) league titles Drogs - its not arrogance. Firstly Bayern have a better defence than Barca. Secondly Bayern have a far more direct attack than Barca. Thirdly Ramires and John Terry won't be playing - 2 of your best players - so whats arrogant about it ? The likelihood is you will lose and then all you will be remembered for is being super negative, some legacy. Yurilly - 2-0 to Bayern.
are cahill and luiz going to be back from injury? if not, you are screwed because Terry and Ivanovic are suspended. Meireles and Ramires, two key parts of your midfield are also suspended. sure you can play kalou and essien instead of them, but those two haven't been playing well and you will really miss ramires tracking back to help the full back, because bayern's full backs get forward a lot to get close to robben and ribery. i honestly don't think you can win it. ur not going to park the bus like against barcelona because that won't work against bayern, who have different methods to barca, but equally if you attack them or meet them toe-to-toe your midfield won't be able to cope, and bosingwa will get destroyed by ribery, no doubt about it.
Luiz should be back for the FA Cup, Cahill has vowed to play in Munich much like JT did with broken rivs. Meireles isn't a key part and is easily replaceable. We will severely miss Ivan and Ramires, just as they will severely miss their 3
Bayern should beat you but they arent that great as can be seen by the bundesliga table. Chelsea, napoli, bayern = all inconsistant type sides who have big games and bad games in them.
You are embarrasing yourself. the ref cost us sending off rvp for no reason. Are you that stupid you dont understand this?
O and obviously we need chelsea to lose the final BIG TIME because otherwise we could be out of the cl or have to qualify. But we also want them to lose because they will be pretending they are a big club if they win it.
Really ??? We had 5 shots on target they had 5. We had 4 shots off target they had 3. http://www.skysports.com/football/match_report/0,19764,11065_3349242,00.html Dont like that report ? How about this one: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/match/2011/feb/16/arsenal-v-barcelona Arsenal shots 13 - Barca 11. Try arguing facts bloke, you might find your arguments actually get somewhere. EDIT - I think the guy quoting me quoted the wrong person.
It was two completely different games. Arsenal's aim was to win the game our aim was to win the tie. Barca got their away goal so took their foot off the gas, but even then were still dominant. Arsenal to their credit pulled off a good comeback against the run of play but the reality is everybody including the Barca players knew they could overturn any deficit at the Nou Camp anyway, especially thanks to Wenger's poor tactics and poor defence. Our game was different, we rode our luck but our objective was to stop Barca getting an away goal. Barca pressed and pressed and never took their foot off the gas, due to our style and doggedness/history between the two teams we are respected far more by Barca than Arsenal and they knew they needed an away goal. What you faced was Barca pressing for 30-45 minutes, what we faced was Barca going at it for 90
So you're saying you would've went through had that not happened? Point is, you didn't. We went down to 10 men without any CB's on the field and came back from 2 behind. Hothead, might wanna check this source too... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/europe/9416255.stm
Total bull. How do you know you are respected more than us ? Utter rubbish. Barca got tired in the game against us and we took advantage, Walcott hurt them.
