I think we need Bart on the bench. We just cannot take a chance that KD gets hurt and have an outfield player come in at keeper. Any Championship team is going to score a handful against an outfield player at keeper. We should have no reason to need many attaching options on the bench. I'd go with: Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox Guly Schneiderlin Cork Lallana Lambert Sharp With BART, Hammond, Martin, Harding, De Ridder on the bench.
I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but I've noticed on twitter that since his last game (was it the Leeds away game), that he turned up to training late (I think he had car issues) and got a fine from the club for that. Then more recently he got caught speeding. I have no idea if these things are linked to his lack of involvement in games or whether Adkins has just decided he isn't worthy, but it does seem strange that after the whole 'kiss and make up' and then playing a few games that he is now nowhere to be seen.
Ok this is it, it should never have come down to the last game of the season but it has and if we could of picked a team to play a must win game against i know Coventry would of been top of my list. I know its very east to say that if we can't beat a team like Coventry at home when there's so much at stake then we don't deserve to go up but i do believe this to be true, however i have no worries about us getting the job done and convicingly so, still a little bit of me is disapointed that we are not still in the title race as i firmly believe Reading will lose tomorrow. So prediction from me is 4-1 with the goals being shared around, would love to see a Rickie freekick sail into the top corner. To all the not 606'ers race you to the centre circle at full time i'll be the drunken excited one trying to get on Rickies shoulders.
If anyone is still under any illusion that Coventry are capable of getting any kind of result tomorrow, here's a piece from today's guardian: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/david-conn-inside-sport-blog/2012/apr/26/coventry-city-relegation Their prospects are not good.
I'm feeling quite cool about the whole thing really. Automatic promotion beckons tomorrow afternoon. Saints are in geat shape, whilst Coventry are in a bit of a mess. Should be a walk in the park for our lads then. So why does being so confident mean my hands are shaking as I type? It's all so excitingly full of nervous anticipation and time is currently running at half speed. I just wish we hadn't left it until the last day of the season. We will do it!
I have to say earlier this week , Tuesday morning to be exact , I felt really down . I knew it was still in our hands , but seeing the look on Adkins face in the post Boro game interview & How gutted Lallana cleary was , i feared for the worst about tomorrow's game . NOW however I am actually feeling quietly confident that we will win tomorrow's game , not over confident I hasten to add !
They have an excellent young player in Gael Bigirimana. He's the only player in the team I'm slightly worried about. We should sign him next season. And Crewe's Nick Powell.
