I see that Emmanuel Ledesma (Saddlers) is out of contract this summer and at 23 (if he can stay on his feet) he could be the pace on the left we are looking for?
David Worrall of Bury is 21 and had a very very good season, problem is he plays on the right wing but he is very fast!
Ledesma would be a great addition. What do people think about the possibility of Lee Bowyer being our ''experienced'' figure next year? Ipswich have confirmed he will be released. If Hargreaves was a pay and play, then it would be win win IMO.
He'd have to stop rolling around like a big Jessie as if shot anytime someone is within ten yards of him!
The Daily Star says - "Championship side Leicester are set to allow Matt Mills, Jermaine Beckford, Paul Konchesky, Sean St Ledger, Sol Bamba and Lee Peltier to leave the club in the summer." Some interesting names there!
I'd go for Beckford, though he's vastly turning into a journeyman and not sure he'd be great for the changing room. As for Hargreaves and Bowyer, no chance. We should be signing young hungry players, or experienced players with a professional attitude, NOT injury prone big-shots who are just looking for a final pay-out in their career.
Completely agree - but having experience within the squad is vital. I don't recommend signing Bowyer as a guaranteed starter, but to push the youngsters. Maybe I'm just being a bit romantic in wanting to see Bowyer back.
This is all getting a bit steamy, lads! I would have Bowyer back at the club, for sure. And Konchesky. Hargreaves? No. Curly-haired dudes are too sinister for my liking.
Hargreaves - no way. He plays one game, everyone says he's class, but then is injured for the next few months. Wouldn't mind Matt Mills from that Leicester list though
It seems Portsmouth have two players attracting a lot of interest - Pearce who is talking to Leeds Joel Ward is being tracked by Ipswich
I also see that Grant Leadbitter will be a free agent from Ipswich, 26 year old midfielder who can play a bit.
I really liked leadbitter at Sunderland- but has stalled at Ipswich. Maybe a change of scenery could do him some good. Have a feeling he'll head back up north though.
