You only do a tour if you actually win. An exhibition match like they had last season with former Saints would be good though.
There's a slight difference in being asked if one thinks there will be a tour of the city and when it might be on, and giving over one's personal opinion. I for one, would celebrate getting back to the PL, perhaps not in a tour, because they tend to be best when a single moment is captured, like winning a cup. But I certainly see no reason why something else significant couldn't be done. If a tour is arranged then fine, I'd go with that too. However, I can't see Cortese arranging a tour because his philosophy is not about coming second. See the difference..?
The tour I'm looking forward to is watching that team bus turn up at Anfield, Goodison, Old Trafford, the what-the-hell-is-it-called in Manc, the Emirates, Stamford Bridge ....... get the idea?
Me , Barry Sanchez and iwearahalo and ****ting ourselves , please please please Lord prove you are a Saints fan and let us go up , I put some money last week on the plate for you , spend it wisely and not another cloud please .......
Calm down, Dear. All will be well. I think Hull City are going to spoil West Ham's day..! [come on, be honest, you didn't expect me to say that, did you..?]
I can worryingly confirm, that as of today, Cortese has booked the road closures for an open top bus!!!
Just what I've been told. My work mate's wife works for the people that organise it. Unless she is telling porky pies but don't see why she would. She doesn't even like football.
These things have to be arranged in advance, so some team will always be left with egg on their face.
can you imagine how funny it would be to paint a big routemsater bus with red and white stripes and get some of those massive speakers and pump oh when the sainst go marching in and drive it around the estates of Fratton and then a quick buzz down southsea promanade before heading back to Saints.
UPDATE!!! - I'm full of ****. I 've had an update about the road closure and what actually happened was that the Council offered Saints £15,000 towards the costs of closing the roads and doing a parade. Saints weren't interested so the council are going to use the money to celebrate some other way. I was told what that would most likely be but am not going to share because I've already been made to look stupid enough. (plus it isn't at all exciting) - Sorry!!!
