Even though I am highly sceptical of the feasibility of the Supporters trust bid, I think the example some of the current players are showing by pledging to the scheme is commendable.

David Norris, Jason Pearce, Jamie Ashdown and Joel Ward have all bought a share in the scheme for £1000.

Now obviously that is peanuts for the wages they are earning - but for showing commitment to the cause I can only applaud them.

With these players seemingly off in the summer anyway, I think as a parting gift, should the Trust be successful, then its a nice token to show their appreciation of the club.

    Well done boys!

Not trying to buster the bubble but look t the bigger picture.

They are on already stupid wages, most PFC players contracts don't have relegation clauses.

They deferred wages, not accept a wage drop. Meaning they will still get paid in full what they are owed...

I do not understand why they are heroes!

They not only relegated the club, but are taking it to the brink of financial meltdown...!

I think it is little consolation for the fact that like us fans, they have not had any say in the mess at the club.

Put yourself in their shoes - not being paid in full, whole team being split apart, 10 point deduction.....

.....as I said though, yes, they are on a silly wage regardless - but they have decided to put money back into saving the club they play/played for - fair play.
