no for you, i only have 1 account on here, why do you always have a go at me, is it fun bullying me is it ?
I seem to remember that at some point in the very distant past this thread was about Pep Guardiola and his prospects of managing United. I could be wrong
We have spoilt brats on this board who are always ruining threads and making them go off topic. Mods should delete all the insulting posts.
we would be relegated. His next job will show him as he really is, a very inexperienced guy who just so happened to land a job at the best team on earth.
The season before Guardiola took over, Barca finished with 67 points. Then under him, 87, 99, 96 and now 81 from 34 games. He's done a bit of improvement
At the same time Madrid were in transition and everyone else in spain suddenly stopped playing football basically. Messi and co helped aswell. Case of right place right time imo.
This, and Guardiola got the best out of a massively underperforming group of players. He unlocked the potential that was already in the team, rather than transforming it through bringing players in. He was a great manager for a club with more talent than it knew what to do with, looking for a system to fit so many good players into. It remains to be seen how he will do if he goes to a club without the same level of talent and financial power.
According to the news he's about to quit Barca. I would guess he'll have a bit of time off so he could be there to take over if Fergie leaves at the end of next season, I very much doubt he will at the end of this. Doubts certainly remain whether he can adapt to other styles but his record speaks for itself, I don't think it's luck. Mourinho's is better though, non stop trophies in four different counties, truly excellent whatever you think of his style.
Would that be his team that broke chelsea down time and time again only to miss glorious chance after chance? Barca were not near as good as they have been, of late. In his short term he's won a bunch of trophies, and thats with Real to compete with. I think he got more out of Barca investment than RA got out of chelsea managers including Maureen, re CL win, you can't take blind luck and use it to judge a manager for not winning every game played, just not possible. Even so, chelsea going through was like a euromillions win, huge odds but possible. I tihnk within a couple of years United would be playing a totally different type of football if he got the job
Erm....the guy isnt cut out for the challenge of top flight pro football as proven by his choice to quit in his first season where things didnt all go Barcelona way. The guy will never manager United, we need people who can still fight the fight when all seems lost not quitters who run away at the first challenge.
Its been a rumour for about 2 years that he would be ready to walk away from Barca. Unfair to say its a reaction to not winning the CL or league.
Disagree. He has always had only short term contracts and like I said, it was rumoured a few years ago he was ready to walk away from Barca. ESPN have quoted him today saying:
