BBC announcing that he is on the brink of quitting and will hold a press conference tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.

"Pep Guardiola is understood to be on the brink of ending his tenure as manager of Barcelona after telling the club he cannot carry on.
The 41-year-old Catalan will announce his intentions at a press conference at the Nou Camp on Friday afternoon.
And barring a last-minute change of heart, Guardiola is expected to confirm his departure from the club he has led to two Champions League titles."

Of course this is sad news for Barcelona if true, but it can also be bad news for us. If he departs, queue all the speculation that he will be joining us come the end of the season. This is something we do not need as the media will do its best to use the news to unsettle the squad and plant a doubts inside RDM's mind. It will be another test of character for us. Why can the guy not wait until the end of the season before bowing out? He still has a Cup final to manage in.

I heard he was having a break from football for a year!

Think I'd rather stick with Robbie and Eddie anyway<ok>

Seen a few rumours that AVB has applied to succeed Guardiola. <laugh>

It wouldn't surprise me if that's true. But surely him getting it is about as likely as Mourinho joining Watford?

Robbie out thought him and used better tactics in both our games against Barca. Pep had no plan B ( where have we heard that before ) which is often the case when your team is used to steamrolling the opposition. Unlike Barca, which is overflowing with talent, next season Chelsea will need to start with only half a team. Personally I think questions can be asked about Guardiola after twice failing to beat a much weaker Chelsea Team. Can he manage anything but a super team ?? Even Avram Grant could do that.
Save your money Roman, grab Robbie now while he's still available, because he won't be short of job offers.

After getting to the CL finals as a temp--if Roman cant see the obvious, then the whole football world and his dog will be fighting over Robbie! Man Utd , Saffa's successor?
