As you've all been so lovely lately (even Graham Moores Rules) here's a little treat - an interesting teaser that no doubt some of you will know the answer to (STRICTLY NO GOOGLING ALLOWED)

Who won the only 2 League Games to be played at Wembley?

I am pretty sure Southend had something to do with it. Without checking, I am stumped!

It was a long time ago, though.

Maybe Tewks (sorry, my friend) was there?

Orient is one. No idea of a second. But I am now going to google it, but I promise not to put answers down.

EDIT - Haha, that is a tough one. Good luck boys!

Orient, yep! But not the Orient that we know, eh?

    I am getting there, Kish.

Clapton Orient and Southend United. But who else?

Was it Clapton then? I can't keep up with their name changes, hence the abbreviation of "orient".

    It wasn't Southend though.

This is really strange my grandad who played for Wimbledon in the 50s has mentioned this in the past as his dad had watched. The name escapes me but was Leyton orient and E....? Want to say Egham (thinking all clubs starting with E! )

It appears I owe ponders an apology! I knew orient had, but after checking wiki it said the other team was Ealing.

The guardian article doesn't seem to really acknowledge either though (although the old wembley tour mentioned orient).

    Apology accepted, SuperC.

I have a book in the loft about Wembley Stadium. For some reason I always remember the story about the Southend v Clapton Orient match!

    On a related note:

Didn't Arsenal play a few Champions League games at Wembley about 10 or 12 years ago?

Yep- I went to one. Think against fiorentina? They then tried to buy it or rent from there I think.

That's the one. Great finish, but I remember everyone talking about the fact you should never be beaten at your near post.

I'm going to have to YouTube it tomorrow.

The great strikers will beat any keeper at either post.

Shearer was another who perfected the art of the arrow-like finish.
