The source...... http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/s...-mihaylov-claims-pepe-reina-wants-out?cc=5901 So is he thinking he is in future plans and reina is off? If it really is 1 or 2 years, good on Reina to just keep playing and doing his thing unlike a certain someone but man......really gutted if he was looking to leave that long! Although this week it came out apparently Arsenal put up a "big offer" for Reina and it didn't come off..... what to believe, who to believe. Can't really believe anything until it comes off it seems! Would be gutted if he left as he is so stable in the back for us these days...
Reina is a top goalkeeper - and we have the final say on whether he goes or not. It doesn't as matter as much whether he is happy or not at the club as his job is more straightforward than that of say, Torres. It all comes down to money, if we get a 25m bid. Then I'd look to the owners and ask them how much they're willing to spend in the summer on new players. If the owners say 50m, then we don't need to offload Reina. If the owners say 20m, then we may have to sell Reina. The fact is, he's been touted as the best keeper in the world for a while, and he certainly comes with a hefty price tag. The range in quality in the premier league for goalkeepers isn't actually that big, most of them are very good and Reina happens to be top of the pile. You don't need a top notch goalkeeper if you can get the defence sorted out and if letting Reina go means we can buy another defender and a underestimated goalkeeper that has possibly been overlooked then we should do it. There is NO shortage of top class goalkeepers out there, and most of them will cost a lot less than Reina - in fact I believe we have a future great in Gulacsi if you've read his recent interviews he regularly beats Reina in training. So, In the end it comes down to money. How much the owners are willing to pay, and if we actually need to sell Reina to release more funds to improve the squad.
I reckon the only keeper that could replace Reina is Joe Hart in terms of English keepers. If not an English keeper,Liverpool should go for top quality like the Dutch Keeper,Manuel Nueer(sp),The Athletico keeper or Hugo Lloris.
You should change your name to ''There is no value in the transfer market so I have to pay over the odds on a homeless portugese 3rd division player that PSV rejected for nothing''.
Its true.PSV rejected the littlest hobo for free because they realised he was ****,and Baconface paid ã8 million to find out he was ****,because Baconface was too stupid to go and see him play.
No again KPR remember to think before speaking. Apparently according to Bebe's former agent Goncalo Reis, Bebe was offered to PSV after his contract had been cancelled as Estrala da Amador had failed to pay his wages. Reis said and I quote "But they [PSV] turned him down because they didn't know him." PSV have I believe declined to comment so far. This agent has not said PSV rejected him because he was **** as you say but because they were unsure over him. Try to engage your brain before posting.
Oh for **** sake... Man U fans will you get the hell off our boards and KPR stop bloody reacting to them. It's like a bunch of ****ing kids in here.
I'm sure the number of Utd fans posting on the Liverpool boards will decline once that numpty KPR stops posting crap. Most other Liverpool fans here are funny and know their football, but this guy is a knob.
He does tend to rant on his own board though! Don't see him on yours at all. (Could be wrong there, but don't remember seeing him on there). You lot are starting to love winding him up, we should have a KPR Vs Man Utd thread.
A keeper people forgot about as well ws Sergio Asenjo from Athletico but on loan to Malaga. He was another up and coming keeper but along came De Gea. He is young as well, probably a good cheap option if you are looking to use funds on other positions. We could always give Brad Jones a try....
PSV rejected Bebe on a free because they seen him play. Now tell us who the complete imbecile was that thought it was a good idea to pay ã8 million for him without seeing him play.Answers on a postcard to Slur Alcie,The theatre of debt,Salford,Greater Gunchester.
Who showed more sense,PSV or Slur Alcie.Rejecting on a free or paying ã8 million. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out that it was PSV.It was reported in April or May of 2010 that Bebe's club were willing to let him go for ã125k,and when they saw Slur Alcie coming and seeing as he had already paid ã20 million for Anderson, they raised the price to ã8 million.
Face it.Slur Alcohol was after downing 10 bottles of scotch in an hour when he signed Bebe, well thats the only reasonable explanation.
Could have been worse, could have signed an over priced unproven English striker for ã35M not that Liverpool would do that would they?
