How many of us are actually on here? When 606 finally closes, is this place going to reach new heights? Because its pretty quiet a lot of the time
The Arsenal fans are countable on this forum. The Newcastle and Sunderland board the busiest on here to be honest. It use to be very busy on here. But, it's gone down hill to be precises.
From what I can tell most of the gooners on her epop up on the chat thing most of the time. Not here.
We didn't go 'strangely quiet after the CC final' it was sort of after that. You see, I was saying we would find a way to lose, but when we equalised to 1-1 I thought the wait would finally be over. Then we throw it away in typical arsenal circumstances. An Own Goal in all essences. And people act as if the Barca and Utd games were thrown away by Arsenal. Well: Barca Game we were never expected to win, so I think losing by 1 goal is nothing to be ashamed of. But then again, we threw it away in typical Arsenal circumstances, (Fabregas Own Goal, Van Persie sent off, Bendtner misses the winning goal). Utd game we could have won, if we had a top class striker, which we've needed for ages. Everyone says 'ARSENAL NEED MORE DEFENCE' but this is completely untrue, where are only world class striker is Van Persie, and he's only got 20 games a season max in him. For Arsenal to win anything we need a CB, a DM, a new winger, and a striker. That's a LOT. Wenger will probably get one of those in the summer Oh, and if we get Reina or Buffon, that's a bonus, but we don't really need a new GK. The CC loss was Koscienly's fault mainly.
This is a key issue for you, and has been since Henry left imo. You create loads of chances and drag teams out of position with your passing, but have no one to consistently exploit the space behind the defenders or bang in all the goals. Even Adebayor in his best season was like Berbatov this season - would score a load of goals one game, then fail to get on the end of anything for the next two or three. With Song and Wilshire shielding the defenders you're relatively solid at the back, but you need someone who can score consistently in order to win consistently throughout the season.
Arsenal need to sign Ronaldo, messi casillas vidic and essien for a total of about 120 mil. maybe sending denilson in a swap for messi.
