Usual xenophobic carp on here I see.

Hull: dull, hellish, bransholme drudge and squalor, vile sea smell.

    Beverley: never been.

    York: Tourist trap.

Harrogate: Absolutely sickening town full of pallid Yorkshire toffs. Ugh!

    Sheffield & Leeds: Thumbs up.

But none of these come close to the holy triumvirate of Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax.

Welcome Leonardo, Aberdude has become a visitor on our board recently, and it is good to see you pop over, too!

Just a bit of background. When it was announced that the BBC were stopping the 606 boards, it was quickly decided by a lot of us, independently, to come over here and see how it goes! Well, as you can see, our board has really taken off!!!! :emoticon-0103-cool:

    Heard it all before, pal.

For your info: Elmet was an ancient Celtic kingdom that covers a large area of what is now known as West Yorkshire.

Nowt to do with motorcycling accessories or the kind of porn filth that flows through your mind. :emoticon-0149-no:

I know about Elmet, but I was merely reacting to your dismissive attitude. Bigot.

My dismissive attitude was a reaction to earlier bigoted comments about Bradford, Huddersfield and Halifax - all places which I have a deal of fondness for.

I've only joined this site tonight and already I'm having a row <laugh>

I've no doubt we'll cross swords again.

In the meantime, goodnight - got to be up at 5.30am <ok>

Best thing to ever happen in Halifax was when Paddy Kenny had his eyebrow bitten off <laugh>

I went to uni in Huddersfield, it's nothing special - can be a decent night out if you catch it on the right night though.

I lived in Huddersfield for about eight months, on the night I moved there I went out to a club with a couple of mates and there was a skinhead braking mirror tiles with his head, unfortunately, that was the highlight of my stay there.

From my experience, there are filthy areas of Bradford which belong to both the Asian and white communities there. Just an abysmal city, all in all, the equivalent of Ireland with the amount of cock it's had to suck to get money to attempt to regenerate the ****houses (which, let's face it, is probably a good half of the place).

Il Duce - You're not a Spag by any chance, are you?

    Or do you idolise Mussolini?

I live in BD - not as bad a place as its reputation would lead people to think.

Being from Leeds you'll know that the squalor, poverty and urban decay in some parts of your city are hard to match: Cross Green, Holbeck, Beeston, Hunslet, Richmond Hill, East End Park, Burmantofts etc. <ok>

Nope... and didn't you have a go at someone for being xenophobic earlier?!

    Nope.

I've been there many times, it's one of the worst places I've seen in England.

True, South and East Leeds are pretty crap areas really.

Il Duce, pal: what's your point? Why are you on this board? Don't TWS have a playground for you? Now - do us all a favour and, if you don't have anything worth saying - EFF OFF!<cheers><applause>

Nice to be able to read/talk about stuff other than just my football club. And I started this thread which has got a fair number of replies so I'd say if anyone should be ****ing off due to not having a point in this discussion, it should be you.

My point exactly! Why aren't you rabbiting off on the TWS board? (Hull in 1957 - OLM? Hull cinemas - me?...where do you fit with your Leeds bilge? Wake up Sunshine!)
