I may be proved wrong on this 1 but I would be absolutely amazed if Leeds sign Diouf with Warnock in charge
When was this? You beat us 1-0 twice. Cisse got one winner, Bent got the other, and Olsson got the winner when we lost 1-0 to Blackburn when Diouf left you for Ewood.
I was going to say that but I thought it might be a bit of a sweeping statement as I can't remember who scored every single goal for Sunderland vs us
Diouf, like Colin, is pretty much an utter cu9t, but unfortunately an utter cu9t who is not too bad at his job, and one who I think could improve them which is not good news!
Well to be fair Diouf played well against us for Doncaster, he may be a twat, but he is a good player at this level. Warnock tries to build ugly teams that people underestimate and he builds that 'us against the world' attitude into his squad, and it really works.
Played well is an understatement. He was superb against us, no one tackled him all night. He held the ball up superbly. Wouldnt want him here but i can see the appeal if Warnock gets him for a good price.
Fair i agree with you, without him Doncaster where done for, i still remember the save he forced Mannone into late on. Thing is i would want him, i think he could add something to our side, but maybe our side are to young and to easily influenced for someone like him.
I'm sure i remember Warnock calling Diouf a sewer rat for his conduct on the pitch during the Leeds/ Donny match.
We'd better all buy raincoats and umbrellas then for the trip to Elland Road next season if they sign Diouf ..... (hack - phutt!)
Anyone notice the last bit about being on police bail after an incident in Manchester? It was only a couple of weeks back and I heard that someone was very badly injured - also heard that Diouf was arrested and Anton Ferdinand was questioned.
Diouf didn't break Mackie's leg. It was a 50:50 between Mackie and one of the Blackburn defenders (Givet maybe?). What Diouf did was stand over him taunting him about his career being over. I think it's likely Diouf and Ferdinand were on opposite sides in the situation, there was some incident between them at Sunderland.
"Who is Warnock? He's nothing to me. He's not Alex Ferguson, he's not Arsene Wenger, he's not Sam Allardyce or an important manager. I know he doesn't like me, but it's the same for me too - I don't like him" - El Hadji Diouf , 13 January 2011. "I can't stand him. He is not a good manager. Nobody has heard of him outside of this country so who cares what he thinks about me" - El Hadji Diouf, 26 November 2011. "I have the utmost respect for Neil Warnock and I'd be delighted to help Leeds gain promotion to the Premier League" - El Hadji Diouf 27 April 2012
that moment warnock called him a sewer rat was one of the few times i had respect for him, i thought its about time somebody told it how it was about diouf, and risked the fine etc... to go back on it and then sign him would just typify football these days..
