You might yet get away it, but the mere threat hanging over your head has killed your club in the mean time.

"You should buy my book: "How to be a better person and influence people" available at Borders from £4.99 "

DO NOT BUY THIS - IT IS A CON - OVER HALF THE PAGES ARE BLANK AND YOU ARE TO WRITE YOUR "GOALS" ALL OVER THEM

no seriously though, mccoist was naive - im not sure he was calculating though

lets face it - nutters are nutters - nothing any manager does or says should provoke a reaction like this JUST AS nothing lennon does means that he should be a target either

I thought his comments were petulant and angry (as were his greetin about clubs cirlcing like vultures) but it's since been reported that a Rangers representative was present and it's therefore likely he knew who the panel members were. That goes beyond irresponsibility.

Just been reported now on Radio Scotland that Ally has stated that the actions of the "nutters" are further damaging the club. No ****, sherlock.

    Bollocks Simon.

McCoist was rabble rousing. Listen to the language he used throughout that interview. Littered with "Fight" talk.

Nutters are nutters. McCoist wound them up, pointed them in a certain direction and sent the monkeys on their way.

Here is actual footage of it.

McCoist could learn a thing or two about self control from Neil Lennon

    bollocks rebel!

nah i just like the word.....

listen we cant - as the saner half of the old firm :) - blame mccoist for the actions of nutters and then say that when lennon makes an ill jusdged remark (and i like the man but he has made a few) he is not to blame for the actions of nutters!

No one is to blame for such actions excepot those that perpetrate them - this blame game is one of society's greatest ills

that and EDGE's self help books

What ill judged comments of Lennon?

McCoist is not to blame for the actions of nutters but he is certainly to blame for whipping the lunatic fringe into a frenzy and shining a light on his targets.

That is grossly irresponsible of McCoist and for that he should face censure.

ill judged actions then - i love lenny but the confronting of refs, the comments about some people being ashamed of their behaviour - there are times when he needs to learn to rein it in - i dont think many sane folks doubt that

but some use that as justification to abuse him etc - and thats wrong

just as an angry ill-judged rant from mccoist should not be blamed for threats - only those carrying out such things should be blamed

Careful Simon, you want to fit in with your fellow Ticsters on here, then you need to adopt the bitter NI stance often displayed by Rebelbhigot and Maltese Mope.

Around this time last year, they were telling us that Belfast was now less sectarian than Glasgow <laugh>

Thank God for Orange Order marches for showing up the reptiles for what they are. <laugh>

I agree. Those carrying out these acts are personally responsible for them.

Those inciting such acts are responsible for inciting them and should be dealt with accordingly.

Nothing Lennon has done is tantamount to inciting a lynch mob. His name has nothing to do with this. We are in danger of self-whataboutery.....Or Pseudo-self-whataboutery..or something like that.

Things should be judged on their merits. The merit of this is that McCoist has given his mob a target. It was bloody obvious what these comments would do. Pleas over misinterpretation are just not credible. He should be ****ing hammered over it.

    shut it EDGE!!

i dont live in glasgow - i cant comment on that and, to be honest, i dont care

im not catholic, i dont care about any cause, I JUST LIKE FOOTBALL AND SUPPORT CELTIC

see the rest of this guff? the hoo hah over songs and certain words? its actually turning me off the game a bit

no one - NO ONE - not the prime minister, queen, osama, obama, ojama etc., is responsible for the actions of a man - a man takes responsibility for his own actions and does not let comments from anyone determine his behaviour or destiny

and certainly not a chuffing football manager!!

I have to agree, I can't help but think what the MSM would have said if Lenny had made the comments McCoist has.

well the beauty of a forum is that we can agree to disagree without having to punch each other

im not saying he shouldnt be punished mind - fairs fair - but im not going to say he is responsible - to my mind thats hypocrisy

"Might as well let abu hamza go free then "

    no

if someone breaks the law of the land he/she should face the appropriate punishment. if you dont like the law, petition to have it changed

my advice is to the man in the street - determine your own destiny - and im damn sure dont let a football manager, ANY FOOTBALL MANAGER, do it for you

You do have a point. These pricks would have found out the names anyway without McCoist's misjudged intervention. But he should be hauled up in front of the SFA to explain his comments.

I'm sure Lennon's twitter rant and petulance had nothing to do with e-threats to Norris just as I'm sure McCoist's comments had nothing to do with the e-threats to the not so anonymous trio.

****s are ****s and will do whatever they feel regardless of what is said by the club manager. Look at the green brigade. They got asked to stop singing certain songs by Lennon and they chose to ignore him. McCoist has asked Rangers fans to stop singing songs and they ignore him.

Even if McCoist explicity told me to get someone, gave me £20 and a half brick and slipped the address into my pocket........I'd tell him to make it £50 and you've got yourself a deal.

i note that bbc football's headline is "threats to panel disgust mccoist"

    when it should be

"picture of mccoist, showing moobs in polo shirt that is plainly to tight, disgusts millions"
