Gotta laugh, well I did Liverpool consider Andy Carroll loan to free up room for summer signings Reds boss Kenny Dalglish is targeting up to five new players when the transfer window re-opens at the end of the season, and having seen his side score just 40 times in the league this term, adding extra fire power is a certain priority. Valencia's Roberto Soldado, Athletic Bilbao's Fernando Llorente and FC Groningen's David Texeira are all under consideration by Dalglish, who has once again been promised substantial funds by owner John W. Henry, in a bid to continue revamping his under performing squad. Yet the arrival of a big name striker will force Dalglish into making a decision on £35 million flop Andy Carroll - with talk on Merseyside suggesting he will be allowed to leave Anfield on a short-term loan deal, should the right offer arrive. Dalglish toyed with the idea of letting Carroll quit the club last January, on the suggestion of then Director of Football Damien Comolli, but stuck with the 23-year-old, who has netted two crucial goals in his last three games. However, if Liverpool can land a top quality partner for Luis Suarez, and can find a suitable club, Carroll will be allowed to move on loan until the New Year, in a bid to re-discover the form that saw him capped for England in 2010. Elsewhere, Liverpool will also listen to offers for Dutch forward Dirk Kuyt - a target for Hamburg - while Dani Pacheco, currently on loan in La Liga, has been told he is free to negotiate a permanent transfer. Exciting youngsters Nathan Eccleston, Jonjo Shelvey, Jon Flanagan and Raheem Sterling are also likely to leave, but only on loan, while Spain Under-19 winger Suso could be promoted to the first-team, if he continues his fine form for the reserves. http://www.metro.co.uk/sport/footba...roll-loan-to-free-up-room-for-summer-signings
Would anyone have him here on loan? I want us to bring in two permanent strikers but think he's a candy loan option for many teams in the Premier league. QPR might suit or Villa if they stay up. Bear and Carroll could be a decent pairing
NO! nO! No!!!!. To another geordie . Carroll on loan fck that!!!! What would he do in a derby game. I repeat Geordies are devious underhanded , sly fckers not to be trusted.
Caroline to Sunderland? I thought we had decided we wanted fast skilful players who scored goals. Not donkeys with a touch several times worse than Wickhams. The skunk needs some time in the fizzy pop league to see if he is going to make a footballer, he is not EPL standard ATM.
Bit harsh to say he's worse than Whickham (who appears to have no ability at all). Another example of wasted millions by the obese geordie bastard
Can't compare Wickham to Carroll. Wickham has had like 3-5 starts, and hardly no game time due to being injured. I still think half a year on loan and Wickham would develop. IMO he still has a future - remember he is only 18. Carroll plays for Liverpool and cost 35million...you can't compare IMO
****ing hell NMG nice to see you giving a young lad a chance to prove himself. Wickham has ability for me and will end up making you eat those words. I would find it amusing if you signed Carroll on loan. All that abuse, telling us how ****e he was, what a big girls blouse he was, how he had girly hair etc etc. Then you have to cheer him........ Of course we already know he refuses to score against Newcastle after his comical dive this year, so you'd need to find another option for the derbies. (this is tongue in cheek NMG before you think I'm subscribing to your crazy theories)
Carroll wouldn't have to try too hard not to score against NUFC if he came on loan! But, curiously, I do think he's not as bad as painted. He works his socks off for LFC and if his scoring form has been crap, then so has everyone else's there. The pressure of the £35M price tag won't help and I think he'd do a job for someone on loan, although probably best if it ain't us...
Andy Carroll wont be going out on loan... certainly not to Sunderland! He will click into gear for the bin-dippers, he's already started playing better - people forget how good he was for us at Newcastle United, he got into the England team on the strength of his performances. You can hardly blame the lad for lacking passion playing in a filthy Liverpoo' shirt.
I agree with all of this, he played consistently well for quite a few games for his <former team> Liverpool early years education: please log in to view this image
Whickham is fking **** full stop. And if Caroll or any other geordies come to sunderland it's just a matter of time before their true colours show. We have now had Bruce, mcenemy, chopra , clark and noble. Colback will at some time in the future make all the posters on here who think i'm crazy eat their words. PS I also believe the singer Adele is possessed by the devil having sold her soul and she will soon meet her demise.
