If Chelsea are to beat Bayern Munich , I think it have to be only in 90 minutes of play.Going to extra time and lottery of penalty kicks can be very dangerous for Chelsea as it was for Real Madrid last night. I think Chelsea's name is written on this cup, Bayern Munich have many players suspended for the final so also Chelsea. Uefa will decide today if John Terry should be allowed to lift the cup if Chelsea wins it.If I happen to be one of their panel I will say NO. No not because I hate John Terry but to serve as a deterrent to others. He actually disappointed his team mates on Tuesday and many people in England supporting Chelsea.
Holger Badstuber, David Alaba and Luiz Gustavo were booked in the second-leg clash at the Santiago Bernabeu and their mandatory one-game bans mean that they will not be able to face Chelsea at the Allianz Arena next month. If Chelsea go out and play to win, then I hope they win. If they employ the same tactics as they did against Barcelona I hope they get stuffed.
I have no idea which of the two will win. As I don't really want Chelsea to win then I suppose I'll have to hope that Bayern do. So I just hope that it is a good football match. I do however feel that it is unfair for Chelsea to have to play the final on Bayern's home turf. It's bad enough having to play the game in your opponents country and we have had that experience in our favour. But at least, both we and United had to travel to the capital and a neutral pitch. We have also had the experience that Chelsea will face and those of us who were in Rome for that match will know just how intimidating that experience was. Surely EUFA can see that the truly fair thing to do is to change the venue.
I don't see this. chelsea got extremely lucky i nthe semis... barca should have and could have scored 6 in the first leg and then wer ein charge in the second totally. John terry is a disgrace to all in england and chelsea.. lampard saying there was no malice is like saying there was no malice when he did the dirt on bridge or when he took those videos a long time ago or worst of all when anton ferdinand truns up this sunday... no malice Cheslea have potentially no CBs to play in this final. we'll see how they line up i guess. Messi was so poor compared to say robben in terms of just plain movement. I think barca ran out of legs myself. they had 4 wingers and 4 cms and 2 cbs on the pitch on tuesday. thats ridiculous and they paid for it but still had chelsea o nthe way out before ramieies... who is also suspended produced a great breakaway and finish. THERE IS NOBODYS NAME ON THE CUP YET, ITS NO DIVINE RIGHT FOR ANYONE TO WIN ANYTHING.
Bayern are far more disciplined than Barca, They'll always have 4 at the back, Schweinsteiger will boss the midfield and they wont get caught on the counter like Barca did. Chelsea are going to get beaten like a ginger step kid.
How about us LFC fans give martin broughan the thanks he deserves by supporting his shower this once.... or does the good he did us get outweighed by the awfulness that is JT and ambramovich cheating every uefa rule along the way?
Did Jerome Boateng make the right choice to leave City? I think so and I think City are numpties to let him go and not play him alongside Kompany. They could have been long gone in the league had they had Boateng in the back, especially with the injuries they have had.
well all i know is if you write a a chelsea team odwn its not going to be easy for them to pick a team: Cech Boswinga Cahill Luiz cole Mikel Essien sturridge Lampard Mata Drogba It aint too bad at all if it materialises but if you take their CBs out it gets scary. Essien at CB? Ferriera? or worse.... still we'll see. if chelsea's best players can hold some possession of the ball they should be ok but if not they'll have to risk both cbs getting injured on the day.
BTW I said I wanted Bayern to win before a ball was kicked in the semis, I stand by that. I like German football, honest league with great fans and atmospheres. The Allianz arena and Westfalenstadion are inspiring and if we were to change ground to something similar I will be all for it.
