got to agree, hated the guy for years, but probably my favourite pundit - in terms of insight and seemingly knowing what he is talking about...

 

Missing out big time Dave..best pundit by a mile.

i think when you consider how much experience the guy has of winning things you have to listen to him. he was a great player but its quite surreal to hear him talk because he doesn't come across as you'd think when you consider his persona on the field where he came across as a bit of a tosspot. he is calm and erudite and can express in words what other pundits can't about what they are witnessing on the pitch. that takes great knowledge and skill to do so eloquently. he's about as good a pundit as i've heard for some time. just try not to punch your telly dave!

 

Hate to say it but the entire Sky roster pisses over all the others in my opinion. The BBC is a joke nowadays with far, far too much air time given to the scouse dinosaurs and Shearer, and 5 Live is dominated by that mupppet Savage and Alan bloody Green. Dixon is good and despite all the stick they both get I also quite like Colin Murray and Claridge. On the whole though BBC does my head in massively, ITV has to be the worst though - being stuck on a desert island with Adrian Chiles and Peter Drury is my idea of hell.

 

I'm watching the Madrid v Munich game wondering where Keane and Southgate left their humour and personality. Chiles is trying to liven it but he's flooging the parochial expired equine.

 

Don't have the Gangsters SKY in my house so I can't comment, but the rest of this I'm on board with. I would like to go a bit further regarding ITV sport coverage, but, I'm trying to be good and not put too many bad words on here, BUT they are the worst load of ..............no, no, no, musn't.

Watching the Chelsea/Barcelona match the other evening it did sound like the commentator was calling Cuenca something disparaging.

 

I actually think we share quite a lot of views, it just seems it's the one subject that we don't.
