Anti-football has been working against Liverpool all season, so it really shouldn't surprise anybody. It's too bad considering Liverpool were really a club to watch this season.
Yeah,and then a bitter Chelsea fan says our 2005 CL win was 'sheer luck'. I mean its not like we had to qualify,get through the group stage,get through the knockout stage and draw 3-3 with the then 'best' team in Europe in the final before winning it on penalties.
I know we would put them out of the CL and not all Liverpool fans are slagging us off. But not all chelsea fans were abusing the minutes silence at Wembley. Didn't stop you lot tarring us all with the same brush though.
Barca were poor, ive never ever seen there play multi touch as much as they did v Chelsea, its like they had a brain storm. When they play 1/2 touch football its impossible to defend against , but it was Xavi would have 4 touches, then to Alves ,who would have 4 touches instead of crisp 1 touch passing, when they did do 1 touch footy they got the offside goal and the pen
I'm late to this party, but all I can say is what a complete load of garbage. Chelsea did what they had to to beat a team like Barcelona, they got their tactics utterly spot on , it's hardly their fault Barcelona are such a one-dimensional team tactically so didn't have a plan B. Chelsea did what they had to, if they'd went out all guns blazing playing expansive football Barcelona would have killed them. Well done Chelsea, and this is coming from a Newcastle fan who has a vested interest in them losing the CL. EDIT: Would also like to add that Barcelona are a tremendously boring team to watch, and I would actively avoid their matches if it weren't for the desire to see a footballing genius like Messi play.
There's no point in perpetuating this. If you were on our board after the semi you'd have seen some Chelsea fans come on and apologize for the chanting, these apologies were accepted by most of the people on our board. There will always be a few on both sides who won't let these things lie but it serves no purpose accusing everyone else. By saying "you lot" you are doing the same thing as you are accusing us of, a sweeping generalization. Isn't it time for both sides to get down off their high horses and just stick to the footie?
Considering anti football was thrown at us (just **** now) I find this thread a little harsh. Fair play to them by finding a way to win. The notion of anti football is bollocks. Winning is everything.

Just go read the Chelsea vs Barcelona and Barcelona vs Chelsea thread, you will get the idea. There's banter, and then there's that. Some guy on there got completely vilified for daring to say he preferred Chelsea over Barca. He was insulted, call a disgraced, told to seek mental help and I may be wrong, but someone might have even told him to go kill himself.
