Well apparently Galatasaray are interested. They were willing to take Harry Kewell on a free, so on that basis Kucsczak could be worth an eight figure sum... <ok>

The difference between me and Swarbs is I don't envy other clubs success.I know plenty of Man United fans and Chelsea fans(I'm actually the son of a Man United fan),and when they are successful I am the first to shake their hand.I actually stood up for a bunch of chelsea fans last season in the pub and helped them get the big screen.Fairs fair,if it was Man United that were going to be crowned champions,I would do the same thing. The chelsea fans got the big screen, the Man United fans got the other screen.I called it the ''Champions screen'' and the ''Runners up screen''.If it had to be the other way round,I would have done likewise.I do however do not make half baked comments like Swarbs that do not have any substance whatsoever like ''It will take X club 4 years to break into the top 4''.Has he any proof.?Can he see into next season,or the one after that.My comment that I believed Kenny wouldn't have Liverpool back into the top four within 3 years, but will have made them champions is based on past experience. He did it with Blackburn. He got Blackburn promoted in 1992 and made them champions in 1995.Blackburn winning the premier league is like Everton winning the champions league. Its what dreams are made of.If he can turn Blackburn,no disrespect to Blackburn. It was a wonderful achievement. He surely can do it with Liverpool.Thats the basis of my arguement. As for Swarbs his arguement is based on hope,Its like me saying when Alex Ferguson goes,Man United won't finish higher than 10th.I cannot prove this.In the same way Swarbs has no proof.

Jeez are you still barking on about this? And still utterly full of ****. You say you don't envy other club's success and you would congratulate the title winners, but you've just been on our board claiming we only won the 2009 title cos Wigan threw a match and the referee was bent. You are the saddest and most bitter hypocrite that I have ever had the misfortune to run into.

My mother is a Liverpool fan, and my first foray on this board was to congratulate Liverpool for a deserved victory over us at Anfield. Hardly the actions of someone bitter and twisted is it?

I think Dalglish will struggle to get Liverpool back into the top 4 cos of the lack of Champions League revenue and the fact he won't have anything like the level of financial support he had at Blackburn. Or do you honestly think he's going to get £175 million to spend at Liverpool? Cos that's the equivalent of what he spent at Blackburn - more than five times the then British transfer record over two years.

If he does get you back into the top 4 fair play to him and to Liverpool. But my argument is based on rational expectations, not on some bitter hatred. What evidence are your claims about all referees being biased in our favour and other clubs conspiring to help us win titles based on? That's right, bile.

Swarbs have you ever heard of good management.
Good managers make do with what they have and put players into their correct positions, and sign players for positions.
My prediction is that Liverpool will win the title before Man City is based on good management.Mark Hughes spent £230 million in 18 months and won nothing. Why?Because he's a bigger moron than Ron Atkinson.
Alex Ferguson won 3 premierships on the bounce with a 1/5 of the outlay Mark Hughes had. Why,he's a good manager.
Kenny did spend £25 million between 1992-1995,but his money was well spent. Some people seem to think his best signing was Alan Shearer at £3.5 million.I disagreee with that,His best signing was the little or nothing he spent on Colin Hendry from Man City.As you said,Kenny may not have a large outlay for players. But he's proven time and again(with the right club may I add) that he can be successful. Some peoples winning mentality rubs off on players.Thats possibly the secret to Fergusons success.Kenny has that winning mentality. Some managers do,some don't.You can give a manager like Kenny £60 million and he'll be successful, you can give a halfwit like Mark Hughes £300 million and he'll win nothing.

Good of you to once again ignore all the inconvenient truths and only focus on what you want.

As for Kenny's "good management" where was that at Newcastle and Celtic? And what happened in 1995 at Blackburn? He decided that actually managing the club and trying to keep them at the top wasn't for him, particularly in the face of more competition from Man Utd and Newcastle and walked away. Same as at Liverpool - when the competition got too tough he quit. Doesn't bode all that well for you guys if you have any difficulties in the next couple of years.

Swarbs its now you that is throwing insults.
    How about this.
How will Ferguson manage with restricted spending and a piss-poor youth set up.I saw Man Uniteds Under 18s,and lets be fair,I didn't see a lot that set the word alight apart from Ravel Morrison. The rest are of a similar standard to Darron Gibson...****.

What have I said that's an insult? I just don't think Dalglish has proven that he can manage a club when it faces adversity, which may not bode well for getting Liverpool back into the top 4 if the current top 4 all strengthen their squads over summer.

SAF has already shown he can manage with restricted funding - he took a St Mirren team with an average age of 19 years from the Scottish 2nd divison to the Premier Division, made Aberdeen champions of Scotland and ECWC winners with a vastly inferior budget to Rangers and Celtic, and spent very little net money during his first ten years at United - his record signing prior to winning the 1st title was to buy Mark Hughes from Barcelona for less than Utd had sold him for in the first place. Up until the 98/99 season almost all of his transfer activity was self funded through sales of players like Ince, Sharpe and Kanchelskis for massive profits.

And you talk about Colin Hendry being a great signing for £700,000 - what about £530,000 for Schmeichel? Bargain of the century mate. If he doesn't get lots of funding, we probably won't win the league as frequently as we have done in the past, but I'll be surprised if we're not still there or there about based on past performance.

Very little money when he first went to Man United.
Oh so breaking the transfer record twice between 1986-1991 is not having a lot of money.Gary Pallister and Danny Wallace.
Ferguson when at Man United first, outspent the entire league to take Man United from 2nd in 1988 to 13th in 1989.Ferguson during that time spent a fortune on rubbish.Mal Donaghy,Ralph Milne,Neil Webb,Peter Davenport(A Liverpool reject) spring to mind. Not forgetting £1 million Jim Leighton, who couldn't save stamps. He was also nicknamed Dracula due to his fear of crosses.
Kenny Dalglish signbed Peter Beardsley,Ray Houghton and John Barnes out of the £3.2 million he got for Ian Rush.Guess what,he won the title. The most he spent on a player was on bringing Ian Rush back.Ian Rush cost Liverpool nothing. He originally signed for 300k in 1980,He was sold for £3.2 million and was re-signed for £2.9 million. In other words,Liverpool got 348 goals for absolutely nothing.

WTF??? Just when I think you are about to start talking sense, you come out with a load of crap again. Gary Pallister was signed for £2.3 million one year after Ian Rush was signed by Liverpool for £2.9 million. And Danny Wallace was signed for £1.2 million. How do either of those break any transfer record at all? They didn't even break United's own record, which was £2.8 million for the sale of Mark Hughes.

And Ralph Milne was £175k, Mal Donaghy was £650k, Jim Leighton was £500k and Peter Davenport was signed by Ron Atkinson!! If you're going to stalk United, you should at least try and get your facts right. And that's hardly a fortune compared to Jimmy "five game wonder" Carter for £800k.

And let's not forget that all Dalglish had to do was try not to **** up a team that had won four European Cups. Compare that to SAF taking a team from the relegation zone to the title with a net spend of around £12 million, all of which was repaid by 1995 thanks to the sale of Ince and Kancheslskis, who were two of the players he's bought from the original £12 million anyway.

up a team that had won 4 European Cups.
Only Grobelaar,Nicol,Whelan,Lawrenson and Hansen and Craig Johnston and Ian Rush really remained from the 1984 team.
Joe ***an signed Kevin McDonald and Jan Molby to fill the void left by Souness' departure in the summer of 1984.Jim Beglin although signed for £20k from Shamrock rovers in 1983 was in the reserves until 1985.
Alan Kennedy and Phil Neal 3 months of the 1985-86 season.Zico was kicked out because he was pissed at not being named manager, thank **** he wasn't,He also refused to call Kenny ''boss''.He was also competing with a on paper a vastly superior Everton team, that were league champions.
Kenny ensured that even though Everton had the better players,Liverpool had the better team.A bit like Man United and Newcastle in 1996,Newcastle had the better players,Man United had the better team.

That's probably true - I haven't studied Liverpool's history all that much so I'm not entirely au fait with the situation. But you'd have to say that for a club of Liverpool's stature and dominance at the time, three league titles in six years would be just about in line with expectations given they'd won seven out of the last ten.

Either way, in my opinion, the only time Dalglish managed to take over a team and actually substantially improve on their situation was at Blackburn when he had the blank cheque and got pretty much every player he wanted to buy. So I still remain unconvinced that he will get Liverpool back to the top of the PL in the near future, unless John Henry does turn out to be a sheikh. And to be honest, the only thing that will happen to convince me is if he does actually manage to turn you into title contenders in less than four or five years. So I guess we'll just have to wait and see <ok>

Lets put it another way. When Kenny got the job the first time,He hadn't even finished playing. He was 34 years old and had to distance himself away from the players,(His team-mates).To do what he did was a remarkable achievement and one that hasn't been repeated.Player manager winning the double.
Supposing Ferguson retired 3 years ago,and Man United appointed Ryan Giggs player manager, and the United players had to go from calling him ''Giggsy'' to ''boss''.Now isn't that pressure. The pressure of being taken seriously. The pressure of having to motivate. It takes a special character to do that.Kenny is a special character.

If King Kennith wins you the Prem next season, we will all say he is a special character, until then he is another Liverpool manager thats not won the Prem league.

So next year may be your year....

.... but then again I doubt it

I hope you realise that by making such a sweeping and derogatory statement you have proven that you yourself are not exactly the brightest out there.

There is really nothing to understand about Economics - most of it is common sense; so if you could refrain from:
    1, Making sweeping statements
    2, Not using any Grammar...
Then I would be very grateful.

    Ze Liverbird.
I don;'t think Mancs understand Economics.
They ask us on a regular basis why we paid £35 million for Andy Carroll. The simple principles of Economics are ''Supply and demand''.In other words there are very few if any players of his age and type in both England and Europe.Thats ''supply'' yet there is a ''demand'' for such a player.

There are economics and gullibility, Liverpool were gullible in paying £35M for a player thats not totally proven.
If there was such a "Demand" for him who else was bidding for him?

There was a demand,Spurs wanted him.Liverpool matched Newcastles valuation, and he joined Liverpool.
I would rather pay £35 million for Andy Carroll aged 22 than £32 million for 28 year old Berbadross.

Berbatov 20 league goals this season
Carroll 11 league goals this season for Newcastle.

Oh and by the way Berbatov was 27 when he signed and not 28. Besides Berbatov was not half way to prison when he signed.

KPR you really are quite thick. Try and think before posting.

I love the way he tries to use economics to justify it as well. The level of market demand for Andy Carroll was the £15 million that Tottenham offered for him. The level of market demand for Berbatov was the £35 million that City offered for him. Hmmm...who paid closer to the price demanded by other participants in the market?
