There are fifteen games left involving the 4 remaining relegation candidates, QPR, Wigan, Bolton and Villa. I looked at each fixture as disinterestedly as I possibly could and after a short period of reflection and introspection, I calmly and methodically pencilled in the result I felt was most appropriate for each fixture.
I tried not to let my love for certain teams (you can guess whick one but I'm not telling) to unduly influence my selections, I just let it flow. It took me less than 50 seconds and I was amazed at how easily and instantly the results fell into place.
Then, and this is the point, I REVERSED each result for each game ie if I had A beating B in my initial spread, I simply changed it to B beating A and computed those results separately. If any games were draws, they stayed as draws.
When I compiled the final league placements of my initial results, the order was AV, QPR, Bolton(gone) and Wigan (gone).
But here's the bizarre bit; when I compiled the final league placements with the exact opposite results the positions were the SAME!!
How can that be?? Try it and you will see!!

Just to follow on this theory...

I reversed a lot of my score predictions this season, and you know what, QPR had won the league by mid March !!

Oops pressed send too quickly. As Wolves have gone and Blackburn have the nxt lowest points can't see them overtaking both Bolton & Wigan who you suggest will both get relegated???

Had I known it was Old Twinners himself I wouldn't have been quite so rude!

Just did it and true enough it came out the same both ways. My order is Villa, QPR+Wigan+Bolton all on same points with Bolton down with Blackburn.

No idea. Perhaps he'll tell us sometime. I liked him as Twins though. Always pitched up with an interesting angle on things. Done it again with this thread!! Can't get used to this Cur thing though. Sounds like a cuss to call him that!

(Hope that answers your question Q'lander. One of the original Rs from NW of Ireland - Sligo I think.)
