I don't see how the number of medals is relevant to who is the better player when football is a team sport and Barcelona are a better team. However if you insist on going by stats, Real Madrid are top of La Liga and could be playing in the Champions League final, and Ronaldo has outscored Messi in La Liga (again) having broken the all time La Liga record which he set himself last season.
How "has" he outscored Messi in La Liga when the season has currently not finished, he heads him by all of one goal. All that suggests is Ronaldo is comfortable bangin them in against lesser La Liga sides while Messi concentrates on scoring against a vast array of different opponents in various competitions. Messi scored more than Ronaldo last season as a whole, and is doing so once more this season
Yeah, fair play, I vividly remember Messi cracking under the pressure in last years final against us. This after he cracked two years previously. (if this has already been said, sorry. I can't be arsed to read through the whole thread )
Ah so Messi obviously doesn't care about scoring in La Liga as winning the domestic title isn't important. I guess he didn't want to score against Chelsea either as he'd rather concentrate on better opposition. That clears that up.
No you muppet it means Messi spreads his goals against more opponents rather than banging in a hatful sporadically against minnow clubs. Hence why Messi has scored in more games than Ronaldo. Helps alot (probably the only reason Barca stayed in touch this season) but can only do so much when you are the only consistent scorer for your team vs Reals 4 or so. What would be a better idea is you going outside and smashing your head against the nearest brick wall.
You talk so much utter bollocks So Messi would rather score against as many different opposition as possible rather than helping his side win La Liga and/or reach the Champions League final You think Ronaldo scores sporadically against minnows I guess the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich are minnows in that case? You also think it's more difficult for Messi to score goals when he is Barcelona's only main forward and goal scorer, meaning the majority of chances fall to him
haha ronaldo bottles it and cracks under the pressure. Right on cue. hahahahhaha poor berb, are you ok mate?
Another thing, Messi has more La Liga hattricks this season but Ronaldo has more La Liga goals so how do you work out that Messi's goals are more evenly spread?
Barcelona have more possession, create more chances and are rated by many as a better side than Real Madrid yet it is more difficult for Barcelona to keep up. Genius.
Basically this thread is about the fact that some people, mainly Berb find Ronaldo much more attractive than Messi. Berb admit it, he is
Thick as the proverbial plank so let me break this down. You have 5 goals to score, would you prefer to win 5-0 and draw your next two 0-0, or win three 2-0,1-0 and 2-0??? Ronaldo is the former but doesnt have to worry about th draws becaus he has Benzema, Higuain, Di Maria et al to chip in when he isnt scoring. Messi spreads his and wins alot of games for Barca but they drop points when he has the slight off game as no one else seems to chip in. I did not say its harder for Messi to score I said its a harder task for him to keep Barca in touch (until Villa is fit again) than it is for Ronaldo to keep Real in front My laptop deleted half the original post so had to repost
Care to explain how Messi's goals are more evenly spread when he has more hattricks but less goals overall? Good luck 10 goals in 10 Champions League appearances. There must have been a lot of minnows in this season's Champions League.
Ronaldo has had a few gluts beyond hat tricks and has more braces Another Messi stat, Messi is the highest CL scorer for 3 years running, thats proving yourself amongst the best
Berb you feeling alright pal? That penalty bottle (AGAIN) when it matters from ronaldo really wasnt too clever was it? Ronaldo cracks under the pressure. You couldnt make it up could you! Thanks for the laugh lads
