I know its only speculation, but would it be wise to have his son here. It could give the boo boys more amunition when we have a dip which all teams do to some degree.
That's possible. And it's not necessarily the best for his development. Would Nick be extra firm/lenient/balanced?
I can't see Nick having any interest in having his own lad in the dressing room, far too problematic.
we said the same about Cam Stewart... Other teams soon get wise and set 1 or 2 players to man mark him.
Kings got more too him than pace and a few tricks unlike Stewart. Probably one of the most determined players we've got too.. unlike Stewart!
i'd have thought of all man united's youngsters, the one least likely to sign would be barmby for reasons already stated. would definitely be keen on getting king back for the full season. keep him fit and with a full pre-season and i think he'd flourish.
I've always been under the impression that his son was about 12 years old.. Says on the man united site that he shone in the 2011 Milk Cup; he gets my vote on that basis
Paul Green and Josh King appear most likely. Jack Barmby....No Chance. Far to many reasons against it for it to be a good thing anyway for the lad never mind Nick. Robbie Brady is nowhere near ready for the PL nevermind Man Utd. Maybe SAF wants to look at him during pre-season and then make up his mind before the end of August ? who knows. Time will tell.
They are totally different players for starters and Stewart has nowhere near the pace of King for another.
Even if he wanted to (which he doesn't), we couldn't sign Jack, he is an apprentice at Man Utd and cannot be loaned out - there is some rubbish posted on the old interweb at times.
I seem to remember Barmby has already been asked by Burns if his son would ever play for us and he dismissed the idea right away. Josh King would be good, nothing like Cameron Stewart, Josh actually has 100 times more determination than Cam. Don't want to be too unkind to Stewart as he may be scared of getting injured again but I really cringe when he gets the ball because I know he will try a few step overs then get the ball taken off him. If that happened to King he would make sure he went back and got the ball back whereas Cam just doesn't seem to be that fussed.
I will also predict this and as we have seen first hand if he is happy he can tear this league to threads.
Unless of course we got him on one of those work experience loans that have cropped up the last couple of seasons. Are they still allowing those?
I can 100% say that is not true, 100% fact. Not only does Nick not want him to come to Hull, as I stated above, it cannot happen because he is only an apprentice at Man U and you cannot loan them.
Paul Green was a suggested target 3 or 4 seasons ago nothing happened then and personally I don't think it will now.If he had matured as a player in anyway over the last 3 seasons someone else would have been targeting him .
Risk of sounding like Jeremy Paxman, work experience loans. Do they still do them, is it relevant in this case?
