Anti-football and sheer luck is how Liverpool won the Champions League in 2005. I'm sure none of you complained then. What you forget is that football is just about as much as defending as it is about attacking. What we lacked in attack we made up for in defence and what Barcelona gave in their attack they came up short in defence.

Honestly the bitterness that Liverpool fans display against us is borderline obsessive. I genuinely believe they get more excited and passionate from us losing than their own team winning. It's as if they wake up in the morning and the first thing they do is check to see if their is anything negative going Chelsea's way so that they can have some kind of fulfillment in their lives.

I doubt I could ever feel sorry for John Terry, he got what he deserved as far as I can see.
Great goal by Ramires, very cool. Given the situation at the time he could have been forgiven for just blasting it and hoping.

don't tar us all, most of us have offered our congratulations. It was your defensive skill and discipline that won you the game which isn't comparable to how we won in 2005 which was skill at the other end of the pitch in scoring three goals in rapid succession and then win on pens. I don't think Barca deserved to go through, a team without a plan B in that situation deserves to be taken down a peg and shown that at the end of the day they're not invincible as Real have shown them this season and you have in the CL

I love the fact that Chelosea won. It has shown the world that Football the English way is an effective way to play. Too long people have gone on about Barca, their fantastic team and their amazing tactics but if we're honest, teams get on their knees in front of barca and collectively suck them off. Good going Chelsea, I hope you win the CL

I am a Liverpool fan and would like Chelsea to win the Champion league afterall they are the only English team left there. Where do you get the idea that Liverpool fans hate Chelsea from. I also want them to be the first London Club to win it.
I can see similarities in Liverpool winning it in 2005 and Chelsea (hopefully) winning it in 2012..<ok>

to be fair drogs everything he said it true, yes you are there and yes we dont really care tbh but what gets me is the rubbish being spoken about your performances.

It did not work, Barca still romped ye and ye got the luckiest breaks ever in a CL semi. Your team were not in the game, Messi will blame himself for Barca going out, I know he does already, Chelsea were just along for the ride and got very ver y VERY lucky.

How thats bitter is beyond me.

Your namesake is a disgrace to the sport btw, I thought he's stopped all that cr@p and heere is is again at it. If it was one of our players the meida would never shut up, he was 200 times worse than carroll and people were calling for bans for andy, but drogs, it all good then

I can understand people wanting to see Barca lose as they win everything usually, ABBs and most of em are mancs and arsenal supporters

Well done Chelsea, i don't see how people are questioning their tactics or whether they deserved it really. They were 2-0 down away to Barcelona with 10 men with 50 odd minutes to go, everyone in their right mind was expecting a 5-0 or worse for them. Not only did they go through they actually drew the game 2-2 and for the last half hour Barcelona did almost nothing to warrant a goal.

All those knocking Chelsea right now don't kid yourselves, they could have still been playing now and i'm not convinced Barca would have scored they simply ran out of ideas. Chelsea totally deserved to go through. Well done them, i hope they win it.

And i'm a Newcastle fan!! Not sure why some Liverpool fans are bitter about it, its not like it messes you up like it may do us!

Torres' goal showed the arrogance of Barca.

He had the freedom of Barca's half, pretty much to himself.

At this level, you have to respect your opposition. Barca didn't - they were punished.

Chelsea played an effective and clinical game and won, fair play. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd feel proud of the discipline and commitment they showed.

It's not bitterness, just offering an opinion.

If you win it and they finish 4th, you knock them out of the CL.

OH and not all have been slagging Chelsea, you put in a great performance and over two legs deserved to go through. Funny to think barca could come away with nothing this year if they lose the Copa del Rey to Bilbao!

I'm not Chelsea, you numbnut, and you're the one who introduced the subject of tactics, you numbnut, saying your tactics failed, disregarding those of the other team. Whose tactics failed in the Real - Bayern game numbnut ?

My initial post was referring to another bitter Liverpool fan who claimed Chelsea won only due to a missed penalty. If you can't follow a thread, please don't comment.

I note there are those on here who have a much better grasp of football, and common sense debate, please ask them to explain things to you, numbnut
