I looked at their forum and they say they are very bad and deserve relegation, only 2 wins this year and are worse than their results suggest, they think they will be lucky to get a single point.
I saw those odds yesterday and decided not to post since, ultimately, the odds do not accurately predict the future. They only give weight to various possibilities. I prefer to focus on our ever improving team (as opposed to some of the others scrabbling around trying to find form) and the confident strategy and tactics being built on by Sparky and Co. I am going for a draw at least at SB with a huge party at LR when the points come home against Stoke. This is not fantasy land (as might have been if we proposed back in Feb that we would beat Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs), this is entirely possible with our current team and manager. However, still dying a thousand deaths with every result and butterflies a plenty.
If Wigan were only robbed at Chelsea by bad linespersons, and manage to beat Man U and Arsenal away, there is absoultely no reason why we cannot mange to win our last 3 games, apart from the bad and biased officials who we can do nothing about. So we can only give everything for 3 wins, no holding back for a draw, and try and be nice to the officials!
Totally agree and that's why I can't understand that there are tickets left for stoke! It really is the defining game of the season and if things go well could be a huge party. I for one have my ticket, there's no way id risk leaving it to see how other results go!
To be fair to Wigan they have never really been that bad in truth. I think they are in a false position, if they had decent strikers they would be comfortably midtable even with their poor home record. How they are even in contention with Franco Di Santo (sorry ) and Jordi Gomez being their main strikers is beyond me. They thoroughly played Arsenal, Chelsea, United and Liverpool all off the park. When Chelsea and City have got the bit between their teeth they are nigh on impossible to beat for any team. A month ago I would not have ruled out anyone beating City but it's so hard, with Tevez back as well even harder. United was a great result for Wigan, but IMO Arsenal, Chelsea and Pool really aren't as bigger scalps as they would have been a few seasons ago. Top 2 aside, I think anyone can be beaten in this league (expectedly), especially away from home
If you're salivating profusely all over your shoes at the prospect of a tasty 1100/1 return for your investment, all that has to happen is for Anton Ferdinand to open the scoring next Sunday (in the opponents net of course). * You might be a besuited bespectacled conservative type unused to wild fluctuations in your return outlays; in that case the wager for you is a sizeable 50/1, and all that requires is a 2-0 victory for QPR. OK then for you nervous nellies who couldn't countenance placing the family silver on anything other than a sure fire cast iron guaranteed home romper, then 7/1 is the not insignificant return you can rub your sweaty palms together for when QPR merely collect all 3 points at ST on the Christian Sabbath. Now can you please form an orderly queue..... *Must be the only goal
Put the pint down, there are other forums you know, one with a 3 figure page thread about the impending relegation.
No doubt it will be full just can't understand why anybody would not snap them up now to ensure their seat at the staying up party! To be fair now seems a sell out everywhere except lower school where there are still a few hundred.
If we get a point this w/e, they will be gone within an hour of FT. The same thing happened for the WBA game, we sold an extra 1k because we beat swansea.
Talking my thoughts RTID. Whilst Bolton and Blackburn have still got legs and Wigan have a rejuvenated spirit via that 343 system of their's, there's no denying we're peaking in the right ways just when we need to. Your last sentence says it all mate! Having said that Oz is spot on with the double edged sword comprising the possibilities of 3 wins on one side and the gut-wrenching prospect of more dismal reffing on the other... Ee-yie!!! Please God we keep clean sheets and 11 quality players on the pitch till the final final whistle goes!
