    Just seen a quote on Barton's Wiki which says it all about the FA's prejudice against him:

    Made me chuckle, literally any other human could've flicked someone and no one would've given it a second thought.

    I remember that! All the idiots going 'Oh he flicked his lip because he black and "big lipped"' Utter bollocks! He was saying he was getting a lip on cos he was moaning. Some people.

    EDIT: DISCLAIMER: I do not support these 'big lipped' views, these were views of people, ironically, defending Gabby.

    I'm not defending all his actions, but, if you're having a drink with your mates and are, for a bit of craic, smoking cigars out in the smoking area...And some cheeky little ****er (only a year and a half younger than you) comes up behind you and sets fire to the bottom of your shirt with a lighter, would you not turn around and want to lash out?

    The cheeky little ****er went on to physically abuse his girlfriend, stabbing her in the leg and beating her in front of their daughter. The other lad is Barton.

    Yet that's not the way it's portrayed in the press is it. Barton stabs an innocent child (always say he was a youth team player, irrespective of the fact Barton was only a year and a half older than him) in the eye with a cigar.

    Good point, the cheeky ****er then had the nerve to blame Barton for him becoming a wife-beater and a drink driver which the tabloids loved.

    I think the really inexcusable one was the attack on Dabo, especially as he hadn't been drinking.

    In my opinion Barton has been really sensible the last couple of years, he realised his problems stemmed from drinking and nights out (with the exception of Dabo) so he addressed this by becoming teetotal. Carroll could do with taking a leaf out of his book.
