Newham Council must have been inspired by the treatment the US government handed out to the Indians - put em all on reservations. But this is worse. Personally I'd rather be forced to live on a piece of barren wasteland in the Arizona desert than Stoke.
The action being proposed by Newham is worse than the Nazis in Germany sending people to concentration camps. How can anyone be so twisted and evil to want to send innocent people to Stoke

Sadly many of those on benefits in Newham and other London boroughs do work but receive Housing Benefit as they are some of the lowest paid. I can't defend those who opt to sit on their backsides doing nish and don't stop crapping out more kids then expect to get everything for free and actively refuse to get any sort of employment. Why not send them to Stoke if they can't be arsed to help themselves? I have never understood the need to house asylum seekers, illegal immigrants who get to stay on a technicality (right to have a family life?) etc, in London. Why add to the over crowding and contribute to the obscene rents by giving them benefits to live in £1500 per month houses in leafy Notting Hill? I am stunned that you can roll up here with no passport from Mogadishu and be sent to live in Halifax or some such only to get legal aid to challenge where you are sent as it is against your human rights not to be parked up next to all your mates in London who got on the boat before you. I don't think what Newham is doing is social cleansing but is a clumsy attempt to point out that Ian Duncan-Smith's benefit and welfare reforms are the cause of this fiasco.
