FORMER Sunderland midfielder Liam Noble has launched a withering attack on his former employers, branding them a "sh*t club with sh*t fans". Noble spent more than three seasons on the Black Cats' books, having graduated from the club's academy into the reserves squad in 2009. He became a regular at reserve-team level, but was unable to break into Sunderland's first team and joined Carlisle United on loan in the second half of last season. The Cramlington-born 20-year-old rejoined the Cumbrians on loan at the start of the current campaign, and joined the club on a permanent basis after he was released from Sunderland in January. He has angered the Black Cats supporters with a series of increasingly provocative postings on his Twitter account, culminating in a series of controversial comments yesterday. Noble tweeted: "Sunderland was great until I signed a pro contract. Only one club gave me a shot at pro football. Many thanks to everyone at Carlisle United. Great club great fans." He later added: "Not bitter at all about leaving Sunderland! Sh*t club sh*t fans! Hope to see you's soon. Maybe give us a derby next year. Haha." Sunderland officials are aware of Noble's comments, but have opted not to respond to them in a formal capacity.
Noble can't be much of a player if he can't even get a game for a **** team. Don't worry Liam , you'll find your level soon mate. And if you're the cream , you'll rise to the top Or more likely , you'll kick around the lower leagues for the next ten years or so. Then disappear an unknown , never was.
A few weeks ago I got slaughtered for suggesting that we shouldn't trust Geordies as they are devious underhanded people and the club should have nothing more to do with them. Now can everyone who knocked my arguments justify their arguments please or do we have to wait for colback to miss an open goal on purpose in derby game. Are you suggesting we sell Colback just because he's a geordie then? One of our most promising young players who has come through the ranks?? They are not all the same NMG - I have some very close friends who are geordies (some SAFC supporters and some NUFC) and also not all Geordies are Black & White! Chopra was unbelievable for what he did but what about Bob Stokoe? you know the Geordie who has a statue outside the stadium??
This twitter lark makes me laugh, it is like schoolkids in a class calling each other. I do not know why people get so worked up about it.
..Fans who associate Geordie with Skunk as being one and the same are insulting a large percentage of our fan base..
Ok Stokoe I will give you that but that was in the days of less invented rivalry before Sky formed the mags and invented Toon. I never ever heard them called that whilst i was a young un. Now we have Bruce, mcenemy , clark and chopra all betrayed us or in one case lost a derby in the most humiliating way possible on purpose. All i think is it will be better to get rid of colback now before he gets the chance to betray us.
