Watching Sky Sports News, then in the car listenning to the radio you'd think Chelsea were deserved winners against Barcelona. But i'm sorry all they proved was anti-football can sometimes win.

They didn't deserve to go through, they were totally negative through out the two legs. Drogba's pathetic antics in the 1st leg, Terry's disgraceful attempt to injury Sanchez, The lets stop them playing at all costs..This combined with the incredible luck they rode Barca hitting the woodwork 4 times over the two legs.Stop them at all costs attitude, and then lump the forward and hope for the best.

In short Chelsea won through sheer luck, and the biggest injustice would be the 4th place team probably Newcastle missing out on deserved Champions League football next season due to the anti-football that is Chelsea.

Stoke City have been doing it for long and whenever they win, you do not call the system anti football.
Happy for Chelsea and if they win the champion league Arsenal is going to be in thier shadow.Up Chelsea.<ok>

I actually hate Stoke and their style of football and Chelsea's style last night resembles it.

I don't begrudge Chelsea on their result. I congratulate them on an Herculean effort which required a top class defensive performance and which they delivered. To beat Barca over two legs is extremely difficult.

However, what I can't stand is the countless number of people who say Chelsea deserved to go through and that it was a fantastic performance because it wasn't. It was a great example on how to defend. That's all.

If I wanted to show kids how to play football, I would encourage them to look at Barcelona first before they look at Chelsea. Defending and parking the bus for 180 minutes is not the blueprint for a successful club/style.

I wouldn't tell them to watch Barca either. How many times did Alves etc have a chance to put in a dangerous ball to merely cut it back AGAIN to players on the edge of the box. Barca have top players but their style of football is one dimensional. Take out the moments of genius that Messi etc provide they would win nothing, a bit like Arsenal in recent years.

You've got a short memory, don't you remember 2005? You were not the best team but won the comp through good tactics, grit determination and a lot of luck. Don't begrudge us when we're doing the same. And if the rules were the same in 2005 as they are now you would have denied a team a C.L spot having won the comp but finished 5th in the league.

    Your post literally beggars belief.

Problem is, they are a very small team so putting in crosses and winning headers is always going to be difficult. However, when you have about 10 Chelsea players in the box, finding a target is even more difficult. Hence why Barca play in front of you to entice you to come out of the box, however, your team had no intention of doing so.

At the end of the day, I respect Chelsea because they beat Barca over two legs - fair and square. But I just don't like how the English press are salivating at the way you won, because it seems as they are happy with scraping through. It doesn't bode well for the future if this is sort of style is celebrated.

Not a hater, just a lover of good football :)

True. Barca seriously lack a plan B.

But you can't really blame them for not putting that many crosses in as they don't have the height to get on the end of them. To be honest I personally don't enjoy watching Barca one bit, once you get past the initial flair you end up watching boring tippy tappy 5 yard nonsense all night.

Anyway congratulations on the win, whether you deserved it over the 2 legs is irrelevant, you're in the final because you won so well done <ok>

I'll be honest, i was laughing when Terry got sent off (what an idiot - but couldn't of happened to a nicer bloke!) and I don't want them to win it as I want Newcastle to qualify for CL BUT I do recognise a supremely solid defensive performance and deep down was kind of pleased for RDM as he seems a humble chap.

tbh, more interested in us beating them in the cup final and what we will do in the close season than what the Chavs or anyone else are up to.

I would say Barca's theatrics disgust me more than Chelsea's anti-football, at least anti-football is a legitimate way to win a match. And to be honest, as if we would have played any differently against a team like barca. Congrats to chelsea, winning against Barca over 2 legs is no easy task.

    Bitter?!?!?

Why because I want to see two teams play football? Because I think the last 4 teams in world football's premier club competition should play some football? Drogba was an utter disgrace in the first leg, he cheated at every given opportunity. Terry last night, couldn't handle Sanchez so tries to injury him..What message does this send to young players? Win at all costs, and don't worry how you do it!!

Chelsea could have won playing a tactically defensive game, built on quick counter attacks and set plays as Barcelona's defence is short and tactically naive. Instead all we saw was any opportunity lets hoof the ball forward and hope for the best. The two times they did actually counter attack they scored, it showed how to beat Barcelona playing some semblance of football.

Re Stoke in short they are an awful example of football, painful to watch and I hope sooner rather than later they get found out and return to the lower league's.

Hate Stoke with a passion. Horrible club with a hypocritical manager. Not sure who I hate worst - Pulis or Allardyce.

For a club that has a reputation of being physical and hard, Jon Walters likes to go down pretty easy ... especially in the penalty box.

Chelsea do the theatrics as well as the anti-football. They tried hard and rode their luck beyond any logical explanation but they did win and that is all that matters.

Celebrating the win is the right thing to do and I would never begrudge any team or fans that. However, chelsea fans and the media saying that they deserved it or that chelsea's tactics were right is just utter bollox.

Out of interest, how were Chelsea's tactics wrong?

And our Defence was better than their attack ultimately. Both are as valid as each other and we also out scored them. I think we deserved it.

To counter this nonsense, they wouldn't have had the penalty were it not for Fabregas (the little petulant maggot) diving for the penalty. Not our fault Messi missed it either, much like your last 3 trophies having been won on people missing penalties.

It wasn't tactics that got 4 players carded you moron, it's just what often happens when you're playing against such quality. 1 of those booking was for moaning about a penalty that never was either so harsh in the extreme.

Not neccessarily wrong but they certainly weren't the reason chelsea won.

Penalty that never was, take your pathetic blue blinkers off you idiot. Drogba caught Fabregas, the linesman and 4th official gave it as the ref's view was impeded. Clear penalty, should have been retaken as Cech wasn't on his line at any stage, cheating once again from Chelsea.
