OMG - what manner of anti football are Chelsea playing !!!

Er, they had to play Barca

3rd or no CL - put your money on Chelsea.

 

chelsea will not have Terry, Ramires, Meireles or mikel for that match. and i don't know if luiz will be fit. they will struggle for sure

 

They don't have Terry, Ramires, Meirelles, Mikel, possibly Cahill.

Unlike Barca, Real and Bayern have more aspects to their game. Chelsea can't just defend with 11 men.

 

Check back after the game - I have bee sure they would win it since they qualified from the group.

 

They played an out of form Barca who couldn't buy goals the past 3 games. Real put them to the sword .. when was the last time they managed that ? And Bayern were all over Real ... can't see Chelsea beating either team.

 

Was messi possessed by emile heskey tonight? Absolute shocker he had!

 

To be fair, when we went to the Nou Camp, we didn't have a shot on goal all game and only scored through an own goal . So I think Chelsea were quite justified in playing anti-football tonight. I normally hate it, but I change my mind where Barca's concerned. Can't stand those cheats. Chelsea played brilliantly tonight and Barca couldn't break them down and despite Chelsea being very lucky, they deserve all the credit they get.

 

I totally disagree. What do you think teams have been doing all season but Barca have been banging in goals. ITs not like Barca didn't create enough chances to win these games !!

 

But you can't park the bus against Real and Bayern that is what I'm saying. Both these teams can score from outside the box, both have "poachers", and both can score from set plays.

As for best team ever .. this Barca team isn't as good as last seasons ... no way !

Missing Abidal, Villa and Pedro. Cuenca and Tello were nothing special.

 

And I am certain we would have beaten them last year if the ref had not sent RVP off for nothing.

 

Give credit where it`s due. Chelsea did well to score twice with ten men at the Camp Nou.

 

I don't want to give any credit, that was total anti football. I don't think it is an achievement to have 11 men behind the ball in a football match and win or draw. It was disgusting. They parked the Airbus A380 !!!

 

If you think we'd have played any different, you'd be very much mistaken and I bet if we achieved what Chelsea have achieved tonight using the same methods, you'd be delighted.

 

So Chelsea should try and play Barca at their own game and get slaughtered? At the end of the day, the whole point of playing in a football match is to win. Playing pretty doesn't always win you trophies. This is why we have been trophyless for so long. If you were to ask me would I rather play pretty or lose or play ugly and win? I would personally choose the former but I won't knock other teams for their tactics.

 

Amazing truly amazing. No team has won the CL back to back, and that is why. CL is without doubt the best tournament in all sports, let alone football.

 

Forget about wining it back 2 back, we've never won it, PERIOD.

 

Neither have Chelsea and look at the squad they have able to build over the years. Like I said, this a truly amazing competition and it's basically the pinnacle of world football and sport.. People say, that they would rather win domestic trophies then qualify for the CL, but I disagree totally. I hope one day, our name is written on that cup, like it seems for Chelsea this year.
