    Fact of the night:

    Alonso is currently on the longest run of scoring points (15). He is followed by Webber (9) and then Hamilton (3). Quite a odd spread.

    A bird slammed into Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg's helmet at 200km/h during Friday practice at the Bahrain Grand Prix. "I thought, Lord, what is that?" Rosberg said. "That was a violent impact, it knocked my head right back. The bird exploded on the helmet. But nothing happened."
