Watching the England Ghana game last night

One thing really depressed me.

It got to a point where I wanted Ghana to score and was happy when they did.

It's their enthusiasm and their passion they showed, compared to England. I'd be so much more passionate about England if the players showed the type of enthusiasm the Ghanaian players did.

England played okay, but passion-wise I haven't see anything from the team for years.

It was a friendly, yes, but the Ghana players chased every ball and just "wanted" it more than us.

 

Have to agree for sure - and not just because there were three lads who played for us.

But I really felt I needed to give you rep for having such a great Sig quote

5 minutes to go and England have an attacking freekick just right of the Ghana 18 yard box...We only had 2 men in the box and the ball ended up being played back to our defence!

****e, utter ****e. We didn't deserve to win!

 

I think I supported them from the start, couldnt care less about England at this stage.

What kind of football can you expect from an English International team with an idiotic, boring, passionless Italian manager?

 

Like all the Ghanian, apart from the one's who play for Sunderland, and will probably like them once they've left Sunderland. Also me and Hoadie Boi were discussing how on paper England has the best players, but Ghana play as a team unlike England.

 

I didn't watch the game, but I know I'd have felt exactly as you felt. In the World Cup I was actually pleased when Germany won, they have a young, vibrant, adventurous side who are a joy to watch. It's a shame our national game has sunk so low I don't get upset when the Germans beat us.

 

Am sorry I will never be glad to see England lose at anything, regardless of who plays for them and who manages them. Well apart from if for some reason they were playing Newcastle United.

 

Do you think Crapello felt the same pain we felt at getting beat?

No, but we still get behind the England team, the same way as we would if he was manager of Newcastle.

The first one: I think his primary concern is money, secondary is his CV. He'd be slightly irked about a smudge on his CV, nothing to do with national pride though.

 

Last night's friendly was the best friendly I have seen in a long time.

Ghana are a fantastic team, full of passion and some very good players.

 

Got good fans too!

 

That was fantastic 20,000 away fans for a friendly, never even seen that for a competitive game before, fair play to them.

 

Would have repped you for appreciating the Ghana fans but, You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to cbrad270685 again.

 

It's Ok think we've all missed out on about 10,000 because of that, is it our fault if we type quality stuff.

 

Unfortunately the rep system wasn't designed with Toon fans in mind.
