Well an exciting end to the season for that stripey lot down the road. Surely they can not blow it now and lose at St.Fairy's to lowly Coventry, and the Hammers grind out a win and secure automatic promotion!.<laugh>

Surely not, but then football is a funny old game and if the Scummers lose out and then to compound it by losing in the play offs , now that would be very funny, and go some way to easing my pain for what for us has been another roller coaster ride of emotions this season !<whistle>

Anything is possible in football. Though I dont think it'd be anything any Pompey fan could gloat about.

West Ham managed it last night and I'm sure will do so again on Saturday. Coventry have a big hill to climb and perhaps no incentive either, they will however more than double their fanbase on Saturday. PUP.

Bring on the Forest party :)

I honestly can't see them slipping up against Coventry. I can't see past them winning 4 or 5-0.

Blimey, when I saw the title, I thought SB3 might have started a thread that wasn't about Saints for a change.
    What was I thinking?<doh>

Anything is possible, but I would say that your scenario is towards the edge of the bell-curve.

It probably won't happen ,but it could, I imagine the players and crowd will be very, very nervous every time Coventry attack. Davis is prone to the odd howler when under pressure as well isn't he?

It could still be very funny though, if against the odds the sky blues pull it off!<laugh>

SB3, I am guessing you will glued to the beeb with a few beers, kicking and heading every ball, roaring and cheering the boys onto victory?

would be hilarious if it did happen though. They've already bottled winning the championship after being top for most of the season, let's hope there's one last twist in the tale

I wonder if it will be a case for whom the bell tolls woopert, maybe we will be singing the chimes after all at the weekend, my god wouldn't it be funny if the Scummers completely bottle it live on National TV!.The BBC have confirmed it will be covered live which is usually a bit of a downer for them ,as they usually lose when televised apparently, not that I have watched them! I think I may well may an exception just in case we can enjoy the funniest moments of what has been an awful season for us!<laugh>

I may go across and see my mother in law to see if she can put an old witches curse on them just for good measure,(not the same as a gypsy curse, in case there are any scummers participating in this thread!)<laugh>

    HaHa
How have we bottled anything singingbellend ?
We have been in the top two all season which is a unbelievable achievement in its own right, considering not just Pompey opinions at the beginning of the season but just about all Saints fans thought a play off place was maybe achievable .
The only bottling to be done here, is to bottle all the funny quotes about how much better Pompey were than us, absolutely hilarious.
Premier league next season for us and League 1 ( hopefully ) for you.
Real Supporters " your having a laugh"

Possum I think I may be getting under your skin!<laugh> Now lets just suppose Stains do bottle it like they did in the first two demolition derby's, and to a lesser extent this season's derby, would you be as sick as a parrot if you missed the automatic's and then lost in what is something of a lottery in the play offs? I think so!.............................<laugh>

I really hope Portsmouth Football Club is still around next season Dev, that's about as charitable as i can be.
If you have a few points deducted, so be it. Rules are rules but i also feel with Appleton still in charge and even without money to spend, he will keep you mid table and stabilize your team.

Singing, i think we have known each other long enough, that getting under the skin doesn't happen any more, maybe a irritable rash you have to scratch when having a bad day.
Of course i would be devastated if we don't gain automatic promotion but i will cross that situation if it arises at the time. No point thinking about things in life you cant control.
