Shouldn't this start, "I don't care if people mind me getting in early...." rather than "I hope that people don't mind me getting in early..."? Right, that does it! No more match threads from you for the rest of the season!
    Oh, wait...<doh>
We had better win, or you will be restricted to League Cup matches next season! <laugh>

Oh I think people do realise. Morgan should start for me. I love Deano, but on the bench for this one and bring him on 20 to go if it's only one goal in it to tighten things up.

Comg over from Belfast to see this one with a mate for my belated 21st. I'm either very very lucky to have chosen this fixture, or it could end up being the worst mistake I've made in all my young life.

Coventry are down, have been frankly pretty poor all year, and are racked with injuries in key positions. We are at home, the atmosphere willl be huge, we have a near full squad to pick from...the guys know if they don't win then their hols get delayed and they have to play three more games.

I think Adam, Rickie and Billy are going to have a field day.

    I don't think you have made a mistake ;)

It would be nice, but if it doesn't happen it's hardly the end of the world...

I'll be there but likely not watching the game, you'll find me curled into the foetal position shaking and sobbing, waiting for crowd reactions to see if I can look up.

4-1, two first half goals from Rickie, with Sharp and Guly (finally!) getting on the scoresheet. Whole second half to be a celebration, all nerves calmed, all demons exorcised.

Last year I was there to see us beat Walsall and be promoted. I will not be there this year. Expect the same outcome. With essentially a healthy squad, the PL to play for, and a full house of singing fans we should be able to win. Fortunately I will be able to see a stream or read the BBC feed before leaving the house. I think I'd go crazy if I knew the game was over and did not know the result.

Im not so sure about leaving Hammond on the bench. Ive been saying for the past 3-4 games that we have missed Schneiderlin, as we have conceded numerous goals from the edge of the area, which he usually does a very good job of closing down. However, we've shown already that we can put the kids out against Coventry and can still win. When the pressure is off..

The pressure is most definitely on on Saturday. Now the only way I can see Coventry beating us is if we play nervously and bottle it. I would consider the team captain a pretty important person to have on the pitch for such a game. I would choose an 11 based on experience and nerve for such a pressure game. And also an 11 who are high on confidence.

    Therfore my 11 would be:

    Davis
    Richardson Hooiveld Fonte Fox
    de Ridder Hammond Schneiderlin Lallana
    Lambert Sharp
Subs: Bart, Martin, Harding, Guly, Cork

de Ridder over Guly because i think Guly's confidence is shot up after how the fans have been treating him. Hammond over Cork because he is the captain and has the experience to show a cool head under pressure, and keep the rest of the team cool aswell.

Frankmus, has De Ridder experienced this type of game? What about Cork on the right?

Guly will show his quality and hit a rasping volley in from 22 yards in the last 5 minutes to send us up and send the lot at the Boleyn into tears when they're 5-1 up against Hull.

Finally made myself watch the highlights of the game vs Boro...I know it has been said, but what is it with fantastic goals being scored against us recently. Pompey had 2, Boro 2...and West Hams winner last night was a fair hit as well. Surely we are due a bit of luck where that is concerned and it will be Schneiderlin scoring a 40 yrd screamer and McSheffrey who skies it when the ball bounces loose outside the area.

am i right in thinking that one game will be showed on skysports 2 from the championship and they havent announced it yet, presumably waiting on results to see which will be most exciting?

Do you think this will be showing us now?

really cant bare it after last night. Worried the pressure will affect us!

Theres a slot free on BBC and SKY from what everyone has been saying. Not yet confirmed, but its highly likely to be our game on one and West Hams on the other.

But don't forget we won the first game of the season when on the telebox. Why not finish the season in the same way
