What do you reckon on Chelsea's chances?

I expect Messi to be on fire and the score to be somewhere around 3 - 1.

I can see Chelsea upsetting the Catalans. Massive pitch, Barcelona will need to attack in numbers as they need at least 2 goals. Leaving loads of of space for Chelsea to exploit.

    FT Barcelona 2-1 Chelsea

    Aggregate 2-2

    Chelsea win on away goal.

I know I'm going to be accused of pedantry again but why in England do we generally refer to The Nou Camp instead of Camp Nou? We wouldnt expect foreign fans to reference Trafford Old. And where does 'The' come from? The Anfield anyone?

Is it in Catalonia or Catalunya? In Spain or Espana?

If Barca have their shooting boots on then that's it for Chelsea.

Huge pitch, it'll be hard to cover those gaps for 90 minutes. I think it'll be a long, hard slog for Chelsea.

Now there's a little bet I won with myself. <ok>

The Stadium was called Estadi del FC Barcelona up until 2001 but imaginatively referred to by some local fans as the new field or Nou Camp even way back in 1957.

However, rather than use the Spanish phrase (Campo Nuevo), they used the Catalan language in which camp nou and nou camp are both correct but camp nou is lesser used because of the combination of letters like the plosive p and the n.

Wanting it called the camp nou is like expecting the millennium stadium to be known as Stadiwm y Mileniwm.

It's known as the Nou Camp in most of Spain as they prefer it to the more pedantically correct Campo Nuevo.

So, it is correct call it Nou Camp even in Spain.

Hope that helps, I can see this is another error you've been stuck on.<ok>

London place names tickle me. They show just how limited the place is.

'Hammersmith' the guy wasn't even bright enough to diversify from making hammers and he still stood out from the crowd. 'Millwall' Not the whole mill, just its wall. Don't get me started on Shepherds Bush or Leatherhead.

If Barca score early it could be a long night for Chelsea, the longer they keep them out the better and the fans will get fustrated. They could even nick a goal! I think Barca will have too much for Chelsea on their own pitch though, 3-1 Barca win this evening.

I remember seeing the stats last week at one point in the match, it was an away game for Barca and they had 600+ passes to Chelseas 100+, and that was only about 60 mins in. Chelsea need a miracle but Messi has been ill apparently so might be off-colour. Could be a penalties job, would be interesting to see John Terry step up for one, could be a Stuart Pearce moment from Euro 96 all over again if he slotted it in!

Yep will be supporting them Premier even though have mixed feelings for their players at England level apart from Ashley Cole who is genuine world-class. They have a few on bookings tonight which spices it up also.
