    Afternoon all

Very soggy here today and not a great forecast for the coming week...a shame because we have visitors staying en route to the Isle of Wight. Looks like they might be spending a lot of time in the pub...

TNS are more of a special case than Cardiff, Swansea, Wrexham etc. They actually play in England. And I believe Guernsey now play in the FA Cup?

I don't want it said that I'm an overly nasty person. I have my moments by my own admission, but the intention is usually to obliterate a ridiculous claim, statement or argument, rather than to go after the actual person.

But there's nothing like watching someone you dislike squirm. Particularly when in your opinion the "pantomime villain" tag is a generous description of what most people think about him.

(coincidentally there is a second person in shot that a lot of Hornets won't like, but he's laughing at the first, so we'll let him off)

Thought I would have a listen to the Leicester v West Ham game over the Hornet Player. Apart from the fact that it was a pretty dire affair, 1-2 final score, the commentators were just so bad it almost became funny. If I had to listen to that pair of idiots, not a clue who they were, I would not bother with the Player. Once again it showed up just how good Jon Marks is.

Hammers won 2-1 against Leicester - going to be an interesting final day on Saturday.

Can Coventry win in Soton? I sincerely hope so. ;)

The Posh commentary for the extended highlights did that for me. There was about 2mins of talking for 11mins of footage!! I think he might have named WFC players twice, maybe 3 times at a push. It was boring and i almost turned them off. Really really hope that JM is allowed to return to the vic next season!!

I agree Dan, that commentary was really bad. Do you have any reason to suggest that JM will not be there? He has made the Player so much better with his pre-match interviews etc.

I seem to recollect something about BBC cut-backs threatening 3CR's continuing sports coverage - that may have some impact on JM?

Sincerely hope not - he is by far the best of the commentators I've listened to on Player. without question.

I will attempt to find the exact tweet but i seem to remember him mentioning a few weeks back that he may be sent elsewhere next season. I really hope not! The interviews, as you say, are just one of the things that make the whole experience better. His stats are fantastic, he clearly loves what he is doing and the passion makes you feel like you are almost there.

As far as I can remember the BBC were talking about leaving local radio to cover Saturday games as they do now, but were talking about only covering one game for all local stations for any mid-week games. How this would leave Premium TV who hold the rights to broadcast all matches I don't know. Jon Marks is freelance so could work for who he wants, but I have no idea if the club could use the equipment that is currently provided by 3CR.

I dont know. I would expect that if he wished JM could work for Watford Fc, providing they are willing to pay him. However, that cannot be a big issue, he can only be on a fraction of most club employees wages. Surely the facilities are there already and he already knows the ropes and the club. Maybe we all need to tweet JM to make sure he stays.

Morning all. This has been a pretty poor 12 hours i must say. Yesterday we got the news that Mr H's uncle passed away, late last night. He'd been ill, but it was still sudden and unexpected and he was way too young. And this morning, news of a good friend's dad passing away too...also ill, though this time news we were expecting. So, suddenly i have two funerals go to over the next couple of days. I know my friend is hoping to bury his dad today, so i'm on standby, though i have a test today, so i'm kinda hoping they manage to avoid my test time! Thankfully i have someone lined up to take the test if necessary. People are always so good in these circumstances.

    Anyway, how's your day going?!

Morning All, No French lesson today, coughs and sneezes spread diseases they say, so giving it a miss.

Sorry to hear your unhappy news H, it is bad when these sort of things come along like 142 buses, in pairs. I trust that you will get through it by keeping strong. Sure you will.

Time now to scan the web to see if there is any news about Watford.

Thanks M Frenchie, i usually find myself on catering duty, and this is no different...the soup is on as we speak...and my co-catering partner is out buying cakes and danish. It's a good way to get through, i find.

thanks for both Ak...in need of that latte this morning :)
