    And Bentley fell out of favour not for his **** performances, but because he chucked water over Harry when we got 4th, even though he wasn't alone. Allegedly.

    Redknapp also pointed out that those involved in instigating his soaking hadn't played in the game.
    Bentley not only played, but he was on the pitch when Crouch scored the winner.

    IIRC, Jenas and Bassong were the others holding that tub of water. :)...they've not played much either since!

    I don't think it was the water that was the issue, it was the pants he was wearing.

    In fairness to the "moody git", he did get the suit he was wearing when Bentley dunked him, auctioned off for charity.

    Again, in fairness to the guy, he does a damn sight more than the "odd gift" to charity, in fact last summer he raised over £50k for charities from his golf days. He is also patron of a childrens hospice in the Bournemouth/Poole area and if I knew you well enough, I would send you a personal message through this site and tell you what he did for me when I had health issues.

    You may well think that as a football manager of the club you love, he is effing useless, but when you take digs at him as a bloke, don't forget there is a decent side to the guy.

    <cheers>

    my inital dig was football related..then you said he gave that suit to charity..thus us going off topic and me saying what i did...no doubt he does alot for charity...everything is relative to what we can afford.....yes your right he does have a decent side.....but i will only ever know the managerial side....and that is the only side that effects me.

    fair play to anyone who helps others.

    Rioja for you later on Spurcat.....at the Bill Nick i think <cheers>

    Add to that Robbie Keane being frozen out after organising a Christmas bash in Dublin.

    SC, I am not sure anyone was having a dig at him personally - my username should tell you what I think of the man. Any antagonism towards him is only due to his terrible handling over the last few months of the team we all love. His ability to, apparently, fall out with players reflects only on his professional capability, not on to his qualities as a man (well maybe a little).

    Adebayor has just tweeted: "Training tomorrow, hoping to be fit for Sunday. Big 4 games coming up."

    Suggests either he and Redknapp have kissed and made up, or they never fell out in the first place...

    Does any of this change in your fortunes co-incide with the major heart surgery that he went through?

    I doubt it, we struggled in the two(?) games without him but when he returned we resumed our good form including a great run over Christmas. I think if there was any effect over his coaching since we'd have heard about it now.

    It's hard to say. In the games where Joe Jordan had to cover, our reserves put in a truly miserable performance against Rubin Kazan, whilst we were lucky to beat Fulham after being outplayed for the second half but clung on and got lucky with a late goal to kill the game off - but in December/January we were still on form, and the biggest threat to our points total in that time were Chris Foy and Howard Webb making a bollocks fo the Stoke and Man City matches.
