Good news, I'd say. He's still great out there and he's be an asset to the team as a coach after he hangs up his boots.

We still have a middle midfielder problem - Diarra is very good, but he, too, is on the wrong side of 30. Dembele isn't the answer and Sidwell has been out all year.

Murphy will never leave us. He will retire here and become a coach, possibly assistant to Jol and then replace Jol when he retires and lead us to CL glory, beating Liverpool in the final, claiming his heart now belongs to FFC and not Liverpool, then will write a book with Roy Hodgson titled 'Once Red, Always White', with possibly Steve Finnan also.

And all before he cures cancer and becomes the first man to walk on the surface of the sun unharmed.

Possibly the first time in the history of the internet the use of the word '***got' has been used in this way. Kudos, C58.

If that's true then great for FFC. Danny Murphy is still a cracking midfielder - Apart from the passes, the key for me is that he is always looking to make himself available, so much more than anyone else, and that's what we lose when he's not on the pitch. In comparison, Diarra is just too often in the wrong place.

Bandit, I love the 'Once Red, Always White' title!

Murphy even for 60 minutes is preferrable than no Murphy at all!
