Gulacsi is hopeless. Makes me wonder how he's even a GK. Can't catch, looks very weak, slow, the list goes on.
Good break. Eccleston forces a save to the near post, perhaps a square pass to Sterling was the better option.
eccelston away down the right and he never looked up at all. had he done so he'd have seen sterling bombing. he shot from a wide angle and an easy save for the keeper. Commentator is prob right that he had a right to have a go but the expericne he should have should require even a look before the shot. he never looked.
great defending from newcastle... beautiful ball from suso cross field to stelring, he gets in behind, a last dtich touch from a defender stops eccleston getting a sniff and then a block from adjoran too. nice play all round... suso is getting more into it.... sterling needs bringing into the game.
So what's the deal with Suso, will he be one that can break through and be our Fabregas or does he look more likely to follow pacheco's route?
I think we need to see a stabilisation of players at under age level. I have rarely seen us play consistently. I hope that we can over then next couple of years establish a pattern of play and promote kids through that up to this level and heopefull not at 5/6 guys all the time to it form outside. I think newcastle look wel used to their pattern of play and while we have just perhaps better individuals here and there they are the better team.
I personally think he'll make it. He seems to have that little bit extra, that Paccheco always lacked imo. His vision and range are quality for his age.
Complete change of formation/personal Coady back in CM. Eccleston on the wing. Ngoo on and up front. Suso in the hole.
Peter beardsley the Newcastle youth coach telling the ref it was never a red.......What a guy...Once a red always a red!!
lol I don't think he'd say that himself but I'd agree with him it wasn't a red...Suso went through the back of the player with his studs showing, it wasn't malicious but it was clumsy and its against the rules, yellow, but nothing more!
yeh, Quite right!!! Dont think it was a game changer though as for the last 20 neither side looked like scoring..... Think overall a draw would have been fair, as Liverpool had alot of the play, but that said newcastle moved the ball about beautifully at times and defended very well whilst taking their chances..... Suso was key to us, Think Roberts didnt do much useful today...
Aye, the 2nd half was pretty much Liverpool all the way. Suso and your lad who came off the bench (and scored against United in the last game?) looked really decent...Your right midfielder had Moyo's pants down a few times as well!
