Haha, I admire your optimism mate! I love that kind of spirit, it what makes you lot decent supporters!

It would be beautiful if you can do it, but that League is a serious bugger!

I'll be visiting Pompey next year to see my old muckers, so at some point you'll have a Lion cheering you on @ ya home games!

    Good luck! <applaud>

    It's a very tough league.

Like the Championship it is very unpredictable.

And you've still got to hope the club survives beyond the big meeting on the 2nd of June.

Is this the same League 1 and JPT trophy that were ridiculed by most of your fans just 2 years ago?, now suddenly they're "fantastic"...

We will struggle next yet IMO, we are going to have at best a bodged team of youth and loans, add to that the fact that as far as recent history is concerned we are the big boys and we could be in for a tough time. Makes you wonder if the phoenix club is worth a look really? To drop that far and still be riddled with debt is not going to be easy.

Pompey fans seem oblivious to the fact that if they do survive the summer and play in League One next season they are very likely to be doing so with a huge points deduction. The 2010 CVA was not met. Clubs have been hit hard before when they haven't agreed a CVA to exit admin, Pompey agreed a CVA and then didn't meet it when payments were due to start. They amount to the same thing and should be punished as such.

They will be further hit if the 2012 CVA isn't agreed. The may beat Luton Town's record of -30 points being dished out to them. The situation is to be discussed at the next meeting of the Football League board and it really isn't looking good for Pompey.

Wow, I've just been admiring your "signature" Saints Alive - tell me did you go to art college by any chance ?

You will be laughing on the other side of your face, when the Hammers catch up with you........

    Now now Wd
I think Mathew gave you another possible hurdle for next season and beyond.
He is also right that some Pompey fans are oblivious to simple facts and seem to think Portsmouth FC is a Big football club and should be bailed out by all and sundry.
By the way i think your boards are incredibly empty from relegation insults.

Glad you like it Woops, i'll tell my 4 year old that you approve...<ok>, sometimes the simplest picture can speak so eloquently don't you think?

Well if the Hammers do catch up with us the worst case scenario is the play-offs and if we lose them then we will still be in a higher league than you...:emoticon-0100-smile

That's very true Possum. I think I mentioned that myself yesterday. I was expecting a massive backlash after Saints lost to Boro, but it didn't happen.

I will remember that, I hardly had to delete a thing. Well done Southampton.
